this is a discussion thread (rather than a suggestion thread) because I do not like how the only updates to the server are mostly battlepass or related to “removing” or “patching” and or “re-balancing” things on the server. one might say “oh but you are simply saying this without any ideas presented. you have no idea what goes on behind the scenes blah blah blah”. I don’t care. the last significant job (trash man) added to the server was a departure from fun, unique jobs on the server like master stalker for example. trashman is a boring gmod store job (not custom content) that was added simply because someone asked it to be added since it’s on other servers. most other servers are shit. there is a reason that most other servers borrow the same map we use, it’s because they are completely devoid of any original content whereas titsrp is unique. gmod is a game on life-support no doubt, but there isn’t any reason why titsrp should follow suit with little to no updates with fresh new content especially considering how fun sugar made titsrp. while I could simply give my ideas I’d like to hear from others on what they think. a simple idea shaping what I would maybe recommend is to keep a job like trashman and rework it to fit better into preexisting jobs that are already on the server. I like the dynamic of shipwreck diver and shark for example. maybe trash as it already spawns on the map is now a hazard somehow, and if you step on it you slip and ragdoll or something (slip and fall on a banana peel). trashmen also now have to worry about a lurking garbage monster who has the interest of guarding the trash now attack trashmen on sight, maybe gaining health on kill (and of course you get xp or something for this, tangible reward in addition to having fun). an idea like this promotes roleplay (player interaction) and risk/competition that seems like it could be fun. it would fit well into the server since it adds more silliness and chaos like some jobs on the server already do like say bird does by shitting on people spawning grenades, or the abomination rampaging and killing a crowd of 6 people. adding things like this is maybe taking a risk due to the off chance of there being people who just want nothing since they are dullards and lames. most changes I see are “nerfs” (c4 or “raiding” changes, gun “balancing”) or battlepasses with new content like “rock dynamite” (also, what is the point of this item. why would I use this over a jackhammer or pickaxe). these changes simply are not captivating and are quite soulless. to make a simple analogy there is a game I used to play called team fortress 2. much like titsrp (and gmod) both are old and are games on life support. team fortress 2 as of 2025 really has zero new content updates other than cosmetic content and bug fixes. even when it was still being updated by valve, people complained a lot about “overpowered” weapons and such so valve delivered and completely gimped lots of fun things on the game in the name of “balance” (similar to titsrp in my opinion). this left a lot of fun weapons and mechanics on the classes in the game forever quite boring and a far cry of what they once were this is what the server seems to be creeping towards, and already has some of the same symptoms of this. bug fixes and “balance” changes are fine to some extent maybe but maybe not. some people on team fortress 2 complained about valve not adding a competitive  mode to the game, and once it was finally added and they tried to make the game like this guess what? it was shit and nobody played it. team fortress 2 is not a serious competitive game, it’s fun to be competitive on it but it is too silly of a game to really be played as such. similarly titsrp also even more so is full of gmod related buggy engine limitations, and other things that do not make it a serious game. this is only one issue. I really dislike how for example picolas cage trains from the cereal monster were completely changed to be random because people were tired of their entities exploding (despite there being ways for them to already avoid having this happen). I like basing and agree it’s annoying that your things getting blown up can be annoying. but when I joined the server and went to the cereal statue and saw that I thought it was awesome and funny (it really still is, and one of the most unique interactions I’ve seen on darkrp servers) that is just one simple example, the entire focus point of this discussion is not to focus on the “raiding” and “basing” balancing which is an another discussion that really is tiresome. if balancing was done in addition to new content, that’d be good and fine. it’s really not interesting for me to be looking forward to for example when the breaching spas gets nerfed to not instantly kill me. what an engaging change that makes people want to tell their friends to join (this is not new good content). titsrp is losing the spirit that makes it fun (some might even say it already has). my point is this at I really struggle to understand who the current changes/updates appeal to. they don’t appeal to me, and some other people I have spoken to who i think are some of titsrp’s finest. newer players (I don’t mean actual noobs who just joined, I mean players who play the server more frequently but still have lots of hours) who are content with this I think don’t know of when titsrp had consistent content updates. you used to be able to look forward to new content. things could be a lot better and what is the reason going forward that the developers couldn’t take the time to add new, fresh stuff to the server even though people free of charge clog up the suggestions section with all sorts of ideas. I don’t really care for a reply that may come from someone that reads something such as “the server is fine, it was at max players the other day”. it isn’t a perfect analogy but you could make a similar case for what I said earlier about team fortress 2. people still play it despite it basically being dead, and the servers are only up because people don’t want to let go of the game (in addition to valve still making money off of the game as well). the server does not have to be a sick, dying dog like tf2. it could be better, even if it it is still fun today (even tf2 is still somewhat fun sometimes for me to play for a few hours, but then it gets stale). forgive me for the wordiness of this post, but I wish to have a discussion for once that is fruitful. over the past few years all I have seen in regards to complaints about why the server doesn’t feel good as it did before are about “toxicity” and vague whining about the community or staff team (or about dumb balancing changes). the silent majority of roleplayers in my opinion want to have fun and wish to see new things I believe rather than squabble about retarded gossip that adds nothing to the server.  the fun, chaotic, and custom content on the server make it worth rejoining and I think we need more new stuff. i don’t know the exact amount of money that this server earns annually, but i know that it likely has enough to spend it on resources to do this if you have the server’s best interests in mind. simply put: rule changes, bug fixes, and “balance” changes don’t improve the server or make it more fun. adding new things and making it fresh while keeping what is already fun is what will improve the server.  I woukd appreciate sincere replies regarding new server content and the current state of the server, thank you

i’d like to give credit to @liliansmurg and other anonymous concerned role players for some of the ideas I shared in this post. also in addition to my older sibling His Majesty @Joey Skylynx who has watched many a server fall in the darkrp category from scarcity of updates and care and knows the fate of those super administrators and devs who follow the current path of ruin the server is drunkenly wandering upon. if you wish to continue this race to the bottom super administrators and those who defend content droughts go ahead. lay down and let the server rot like a stinking corpse. once it rots much like a stinking corpse no amount of embalming and tender care will bring it back to truly back to life. it merely will appear as such, but it is still dead.

Written by a true scholar.

The truth is @Rubik is too incompetent of a developer to make any of this happen. Much like Kanye Wests long awaited heavy metal christmas album, the finer points of emergent design and game development are lost on a simpleton like him.

You will consume whatever we got scammed into buying from gmodstore and you will enjoy it.

The messiah of the server (nematodes) was permanently banned, crucified by heathens who did not appreciate his genius. He could have saved us all.

If you actually read this Rubik I'm only half joking. Stop being a lazy passionless piece of shit and do something with the server that has so much potential, or just pass on the torch.

I don’t blame rubik completely as someone who has spent time developing for a little bit it’s not that easy when it comes to a whole sever there are plenty of things need to be fixed first but yes I do understand where some players are coming from the suggestion box is always open in the discord leave the ideas there

He does nothing and hoards the code base despite having no involvment with 90% of it.

Extremely difficult to read, when somebody writes like this so i just put it up in chatgpt to summarize what u said

https://imgur.com/a/0CcPjqM

1. Whats fun for one person is frustrating for another. I like the trash man job, so do other players. Not every job needs some massive excitment aspect to it, its RP afterall. Some jobs are about immersion and social interaction and passive gameplay.

2. Team Fortress 2 lost many players because the anti-cheat there is garbage and never got properly made, which attracted TONS of hackers which could be encountered daily. Of course it also died out because its almost 20 years old. Its very difficult to keep the playerbase up for that long.

3.  Introducing chaotic player killing features disrupt regular player RP. A lot of the time these features get used for trolling which is annoying for the player and the staff team to deal with.

4. Most servers are volunteer run by hobbyists. Good devs are very hard to find and Rubik has done an AMAZING job keeping the server stable on his own. Theres bug fixes coming out almost every day, not to mention the silent backend updates.

5. Just because something doesn’t appeal to older players doesn’t mean it isn’t meaningful to others. The majority of players on the server do RP jobs and havent even explored all the server features. They dont even own a CC Job. If youre a player who has played for Years and has played every job x100 times, have your dream CC job and full inv of stuff, of course youre gonna get bored of the content and start to think of it as bland and boring.

6. Gunplay dominates many Gmod servers so they need to be monitored and balanced more frequently. This used to be the case for Raiding aswell but thats no longer the case(convo for a different time). Raiding and basing mechanics directly influence server culture and the new player experience. Ignoring them would be like ignoring core systems in a competitive game because “it’s not fun to talk about.”

7. Would i love more content that brings fresh new mechanics into the game? Of course, but with only 1 dev, its very difficult to do this without creating a massive backlog
