False warn for calling somebody "retard"

I called somebody sped, and a retard making the mod warn me twice

Why should you be unwarned/unbanned?

People can call people the F-slur and the hard R without getting warned but when I call somebody a retard and sped ill get 2 warns and a giga mute???

Hey man I'm not staff or involved but it would probably help the staff to know if the 2 warns are from separate situations or if you were double punished (a major staff violation).

I just dont get how people can say far worse without getting warned but i call somebody sped and a retard, causing me to get warned

When you become staff you have to understand that there is going to be simi toxic/rude people in sits, it comes with the job. Being called a sped and being mocked is not a valid reason to warn someone for being toxic in a sit. This is something that could have been solved with a gag and or gigamute if he continues being toxic in text chat. And being called a retard 1 time in game isn't a valid reason to warn someone for player toxicity. Retard and sped have always been allowed to be said on this server but using it repeatedly to harass someone is against the rules. What spyz did is not harassment in my opinion and is instead someone just being an asshole. I would recommend just to ignore and either mute them in game or block them on steam if you truly dislike what they say.

couldn't have said it better, I've never warned anyone for that unless its a prolonged issue that turns into harassment.

I stand by my decision. It isn’t shown in the clips due to medal not recording the steam overlay, but SPYS has recent priors for player toxicity and RDM in a sit. The first warn would not have been a warn in the first place if not for his mocking response, and continuing to insult and mock the other player in the sit after being politely told not to.

 

The second warn comes in the wake of the first. It is clear no lesson was learned here and this kind of behavior will only continue. I am still against the removal of these warns.

The Player tox prior was casue i called somebody gay to many times that was my fault and i shouldnt have done it, the RDM in sit warn is cause i killed a mod while i was trolling and honesty didnt think the mod would warn me since we were cool at the time, again i shouldnt have done that or the play tox before and i understand that now.

as i said this is something that could have easily been solved with a gag or gigamute no need to warn for this. Saying retard and mocking someone by repeating what they said is toxic, but it is not warnable toxicity.

He is allowed to continue to say retard and mock people by repeating what they said. Players are allowed to be toxic to a certain extent because if we truly started trying to limit all toxicity it would be quite silly. The only time that this type of "toxicity" is punishable is when it turns into harassment.

I've had plenty of sits where the other person calls them retard, stupid, and pussy. This is all allowed because it's just obvious shit talk when people are annoyed, what isn't allowed is the constant harassment like targeting someone or following them calling them names.
