I shot an SBC cannon at one of my lads and some people (3 people IIRC) died in the crossfire. I wasn't even shooting it (or had intention) at everyone from a rooftop, something more prolific players can do and not be punished. I am just coming back to the server after quite some time, so if there was some update to the rules, or just a change in punishment given, I can recognize that, but a ban (even for four days) is a bit (in my opinion) stupid. I've played here for around 5 years and this is my second (non accidental) ban, and I haven't had a warn since 2022. The sit was called by someone who seemed (I could be incorrect on this) like a newer player, and kept trying to provoke me by shouting 'player toxicity' over some comments I made (that weren't really all that mean-spirited), who seemed a bit mingey. I don't know why there was an NITRP charge (if that doesn't come with MRDM by default, also could be related to a moment a few minutes prior when i killed myself with the SBC cannon which IIRC did include the involved mod), and that on top of the rest of the situation leads me to question the competency of the handling mod (TapWater), not that I want to attack him personally do to feeling salty about this situation, but I think the situation could have been handled better.
I could understand (but would still disagree with due to the double-standard I mention earlier) a verbal or full warn, but a ban seems really excessive

Even if it is crossfire it is still considered RDM, one of those people that you accidently killed reported you and then Tapwater picked up the sit and went from there. IMO he was being generous with the ban already considering the usual minimum for a MRDM ban is 7 days. I'm personally on the side of letting the ban be played out as is but will see what the other mods think of the situation.

killing your friend and ''accidently crossfiring 3 other peoples'' is a bit ridiculous no? u had no reason to even shoot at ur friend and then it resulted in 3 people also being killed.. i think its quite common sense that shooting an sbc cannon ball at someone will also hit nearby players, if u wanna kill ur friend use a regular gun i guess.

as for the NITRP, it could be questioned if ur saying it was crossfire, but if there was no rp reason to shoot the cannon in the first place i think its fair. however even without the NITRP added onto the ban it can range from a warn to 7days (its typically 3-5days), tapwater giving you 4 days is completely fair for this, as you've said you've played for 5 years, you know this isnt allowed, and you know how the sbc cannon works.

It was RDM unfortunately, wait out the ban and come back better. 

As for the competency of staff member Tapwater69, It looks like this was handled the correct way and tap was generous enough to only give you a 4 day ban rather than a week.
