You dont seem to understand that the gravity of your words and what effect they have on the internet. I also said that people can get investigated and if found guilty in the court of law could be sentenced. And you also pointed out that moderators were committing this exact thing, if you can gather evidence, feel free to make a report on the individual and we will deal with them accordingly, but what you said wasn't a "questionable shitty joke" and that damn well won't pass by a judge in court, it was a blatant threat that you were going to have a sexual encounter no matter if their age is below the age of legal adult consent which is certainly illegal and could easily catch an investigation by law enforcement or being put on a watch list (as explained by Vexxy) no matter if you said "JK" or "lmao sike". I have not broken any laws, nor do I break any laws. What I said was wrong but in the context I said it in, me being drunk and me also not seeing it in any rules and me also not getting a single warning, this is such an overreaction based on the things I have seen on titsrp. Two wrongs never make a right but rules are rules and should be enforced no matter the position the player is in who breaks them. And this is only cherry picked, I have seen worse from regular players. What I did was wrong, completely. I have suffered because of it. I have not broken a law, I have not broken a server rule, we have all admitted that. A slap on the wrist might be too weak, give me a punch to the face and go for a month, I am dedicated to getting unbanned because I am dedicated to this server. alcohol should not be an excuse but it should also be looked at. I would never say something so questionable while sober and I am willing to not use the server under the influence to prevent things like this from occurring again. Like I stated above and numerous times again, this is not the same thing I have done. This is just what a regular player on the serve sees from a staff member. koda Posted December 19, 2020 Share Posted December 19, 2020 (edited) I've also never said you broke the law, the fact that you said you were going to do so again in a threatening manner was enough to get a ban from us and could spark an investigation if reported to authorities. Being "willing to be put on a watchlist" isn't going to change our decisions, you came into agreement with the rules when you first joined the server. Even then, the servers owner is a separate company from Valve or Facepunch giving total freedom so long as we accept Valve's server hosting terms and conditions which makes however our decisions work with accepting any type of report, warning, or ban appeal in how ever the server owner pleases such as making it a vote from staff or just a direct unban/warn from superadmins/admins without a vote. The owner or anyone that is in a staff position on the server are not legally binded to unban you from a Garry's Mod DarkRP server no matter if you've spent money or any amount of time on the server or if you've officially committed a felony. No ban appeal should be accepted on the merit of “other people did it.” If it cannot stand on its own, it may not be the best of arguments to make. I have shared the screenshots with the upper staff team. Having a bind or using a quote like as a server representative or community member is extremely inappropriate and we will be handling the situation. As for the quotes themselves, both of them came from a time we did not have this rule. Thankfully we enforce it now. (the Tass quote, while particularly bizarre and would be an instant permanent ban, I believe is over a year old) There isn’t a lot we can do besides keep that kind of content off the server. Stop spamming appeals. Appeal denied. Failure to provide evidence against community guidelines violation (pedophilia), negative staff feedback. As a side note, you shouldn’t have to be told as a 19 year old to not say you’re gonna have sex with a kid. Say that in front of the wrong person and your life is fucked. You know what would happen if someone didn’t like you irl or even if you pissed someone off online and tracked this thread through your steam account? People do dumb shit like sending shit to your boss and parents. Internet banter is fun and games until you bring up valid threats and fucking kids, and it’s your ass.
