I logged into the server, and went to look for a suitable base to setup a gun-shop I walked into a kidnapping base because I was just exploring the server, and some guy started shooting at me. I killed him and tried to free a victim but I was kidnapped myself. After around 10 seconds of just jumping around and taking to the other victim, I thought it'd be kind of funny to annoy the staff(I know it isn't funny, it's just annoying and rude) and I half expected nothing to happen. Then, I got a PM from Carelos(a Tmod) telling me to stop it was hurting his ears. I was being kind of dumb at the time so I took it as sort of a joke not thinking it was actually bothering him. I spammed for a few more seconds. Carelos put in ooc "404 stop" or something of that sort. I tried to be kind of a smart ass and said "everyone spam" in ooc not thinking anyone would even regard it. I would just like to be clear here, I did NOT want to crash the server, cause lag, or bother anyone or anything. I was simply minging, and only minging. Nothing more. I stopped after I said the spam thing and thought I'd be done there. I then was taken into a jail by Coke. Me and coke were sort of bickering earlier so I tried to do that here, but he/she didn't take it as a joke. I was hopping around the cage and stuff and found an exploit(out of boredom) to get out of it. (I'll post it in the bugs/exploits thing after this btw) He asked why I was spamming and I said "To get out of kidnapping, and here I am" as a joke. Then, thinking it'd be funny, I managed to get out and run away for like 2 seconds and then I was tped back. Once again, I wasn't trying to do anything malicious, simply just minging. Then he opened xban and I immediately understood that he/she did not find it funny or anything. I thought I'd be banned for a week or so which I can get because I was minging and did exploit sort of but I was instead banned for the reason below, with a "ext for coke" at the end. Why should you be unwarned/unbanned? : I did not mean any bad intent, just to annoy the staff, which I know is rude and annoying but at the time I wasn't exactly thinking straight, and it ended me up here. I really like this server and it's community and I understand why I was banned, but I don't understand why I was perma banned. I know I haven't been on the server for a while but it shouldn't be for perma. According to the proper punishment and times, I should only be permad if I was causing lag and the props weren't even spawning in! I was kidnapped!! Also, the exploit didn't give me much of a major advantage at all. AND I'm going to report it to the forums and I didn't even realize it was a thing until I had a random idea to try it out, and unfortunately it worked. I know I may seem bitchy about all these specific rules but I'm kind of looking for anything... I just literally want to be able to play on this server again at some point in the near future. Who warned/banned you and for how long?: I'm going to add little dashes by the reasons for my responses. I had no intent for anyone to do it but do recognize my mistake here. - Sit exploiting in sit | Now I did do this as well, I will not deny it one bit but I was not planning on to actually leave the sit at all, just to minge. - Lying in sit | Now this I do not understand. I was not lying at all in sit, I really was kidnapped and I had no malicious intent at all! I'm pretty sure this one guy who killed me can vouch for me on this. His name was 323k and if you look at the paste bin and searched for "killed 404" it will show up. He killed me because I started punching him to try and escape, and this was approx. 2 minutes after I stopped spamming. I don't know any other thing I could be possibly lying about but hopefully when he/she responds to this appeal, he/she can explain. - Ext perma for coke | Already explained this but here's a recap because why not: If you look at the punishment times, I shouldn't be perma banned even if I did all this stuff. I think it was just a big misunderstanding and he/she thought I was trying to crash the server. ---= Time Left =--- 7 days - I'd understand this if it wasn't for the extend to perma. I'm hoping you guys will understand where I'm coming from and why I don't understand. If I don't get unbanned, please just explain the reasons more thoroughly because I really don't understand. I'm going to review the rules in hopes that'll provide some sort of explanation, and if it does I'll take down this post. And yeah I knew what I was doing was wrong but I didn't actually think it would cause this much backlash but if you and other staff agree that I do deserve a perma, I'll gladly accept it. Posted January 9, 2019 Share Posted January 9, 2019 I say +1 for it not to be a perma, a months is more reasonable but cmon man, you overdid the minging thing, like rubik said, wait a little more, also saying let's spam once is still bad, like saying "I'm gonna kill you" once is all that's needed to take effect, I'm a minge myself tbh but this was too far, reevaluate for a while. You were asked to stop by carelos because it was hurting their ears and you thought it would be funny to ignore their verbal and continue, and then went and decided to be a 'smartass' by your words and incite the server to prop spam. Now, your props may not have been getting placed but if people had taken more notice there would have been a serious issue. Just because nobody started spamming after you told them to as a joke does not mean you are in the clear for inciting a spam. You were jailed and found an exploit out of boredom and instead of making note of it and asking to be put back in your player jail you thought it would be funny to run away from the staff who was dealing with you. It was not sort of exploiting, it was exploiting. You're intention at the beginning may not have been malicious and it may have been just to annoy the staff which is uncalled for as it takes time away from other issues that require attention. Just as a general reply to everyone, I admit that I was pretty rushed in making this appeal. I was just so disoriented that I never actually got a serious ban before I guess. I should've probably thought it over before I even started minging and foreseen the consequences if I started breaking rules left and right. I was pretty irresponsible considering I was a previous staff member as well as a common player on the server. I would understand if this was a newer player but I over did it here. This was pretty dumb, especially from someone who used to be a staff member here. That's pretty disappointing. Apply again sometime in the future, and we might consider shortening it then.
