In the past week I have played on this wonderful server for 21.95 hours. I love this server with all my being, of course I will continue playing while my application is up. Yes I have extensive experience with ULX all of which was on this server as a moderator. Yes I have been an operator on a Minecraft server which was taken down while it was very popular. I was also a respected moderator on this server for almost four months who always handled sits efficiently. Yes, many times over. I have a very good understanding of the rules as I have moderated them on this server. As many people know I use my microphone constantly and rarely type. Trust me I know this, I always handled sits. I also never abused my powers, I honestly think my actions were misconstrued, however I have given up on trying to prove it. I want to be staff on this server for a multitude of reasons, I have always been a contributing member of this server and I currently only have 3 warnings (if you don't count the ones that Erston warned me for, for RDMing him XD). I think that many people on this server like me and I want to help make this server a better placed. I think that I can help, as I already have. Many people tell me that I was a good staff member who always helped them. In fact, even after I was demoted people continued asking me for help, both in an administration sort of fashion and in a normal RP fashion, like how much people can mug for, how long people can kidnap for, cooldowns, etc. I don't think that I need training as a trial-mod first, I know the ropes and all the commands. I even often help trial-mods with their new found abilities to help the server, such as filtering out /dlogs and teaching them how to check warnings. Scenario Question #1: A player tells you that someone is farming money while they have a building sign up. What do you do and why? I think that this question is one of the easier ones. All that is required is spectating the player and checking to see if they indeed have printers/miners/meth while building. If they do, I would bring over the player and ask them if they know the rules regarding this issue. If they don't I would ask them to either make their base raidable and remove the building signs, or ask him to remove his printers/miners/meth. I would also issue a warning using "!warn [username] Farming money with a building sign up." Or if they get upset and for someone reason decide to RDM during the sit I may even ban them for a day, using !menu. Scenario Question #2: Player X hits player Y for 1 point of armor damage and player Y kills player X. Player X reports RDM, what do you do and why? The solution to this is simple, I would simply bring both people up to a secluded location and tell player X to be sure of what their tool does before they use it on someone that would be annoyed by it. I would also tell player Y to calm down and not get upset by one damage. No warnings would be issued unless player X is intentionally trying to irritate player Y, in which case I would warn the player for minge. Scenario Question #3: Player X calls player Y a stinky butthole over voice. Player Y asks for an admin for disrespect, what do you do and why? I would bring the two players and tell player Y that he should not be offended by being called a stinky butthole. This is a very trivial insult, and if this seriously concerns player Y, he should try to man up, since there is much worse on the internet. As for player X, I would just tell him to leave player Y alone if it really bothers him. Scenario Question #4: 3 players report player X for RDMing them but you cannot find the player in question, what do you do and why? I would ask the last person to die for the username of the player. I then check the name change logs to see if they changed their name. Next I would check the kills/death logs to see if he committed these RDMs, in addition I would check the damage logs to see if player X was not provoked by the players first. If he was provoked I would verbally warn the three players not to pull something like that again. However if he was not provoked I would ban the user for "RDMx3 and attempting to avoid punishment." If they did not change their name I would check the connection logs to see if they left the server after breaking these rules. If so I would ban the user for the same reason as before, "RDMx3 and attempting to avoid punishment." Scenario Question #5: A player accidentally crossfires someone in a raid and the player that got crossfired calls an admin for RDM, what do you do and why? This scenario is very questionable, there are many different instances. In order to assist me in the answering of this question I looked at arguments between Sugar and Erston (and trust me there were A LOT). One that stood out to me was here, in that article Sugar and Erston argue over context, this is very applicable as two players could simply be trolling and having a war with each other, they are not actually attempting to kill each other and instead are trying to kill others in "crossfire", they argue this during a sit, however there would probably be many witnesses refuting this. This is what would happen in Scenario #5, I would bring the players and have them state their witnesses, I would bring the witnesses for their side of the story and then determine whether it was truly crossfire. If it was I would tell the crossfired player to be careful of where he steps and to watch chat for adverts. If the player was simply trying to be an idiot and RDM the player, I would warn him for RDM, with a stern warning, that if they pull something like that again in the name of "crossfire" I would ban them for a day.
