You have to actually unsubscribe from the workshop addons before a reset. Some corrupt workshop addons will replace your default hl2 files. Only a reset would fix this.

This should be fixed in the next few minutes. So what was happening is: if trying to play a new song failed for whatever reason, the partial files would remain in the filesystem. Trying to play the same song again would fail because technically, the file already exists, however since this was only part of the song, it was not enough to play. I've actually purged over 5000 partial files (5000 songs) which would fail if you tried to play them.

I was able to reproduce the issue with both of these tracks, however it doesn't seem to be an issue for all "new" songs. One thing I noticed was that both of these tracks are from major commercial artists and both songs have been uploaded within the last month. I'm wondering if youtube had added some new protections for these types of uploads.

I'm going to close this thread before it turns into a drama-fest. There has been some good points made here and I'm going to go over this entire thread with Sugar to see what changes we need to make to bring the community and staff team together again. I just don't think there's anything else to be said that hasn't been said already. If you have any feedback on how we can improve the staff team in terms of transparency and accountability, please DM me. Don't DM me the names of smods you want to see demoted, but how can we as leaders create an environment where the staff team operates with more transparency and accountability.

You don't need to be a smod+ to contribute to the staff team & decision making. Only exception of this is w/ t-mods & accepting/denying mod applications. Also if you're only in it for the rank, I think that is a part of the problem. Being promoted is something that you earn through hard work & dedication and shouldn't be something you feel you have to accomplish to succeed. I know a ton of staff members who were an absolutely critical part of the team, yet they chose to never apply for smod. They were included in all of the meetings, decision making and discussions.

After looking into this further, it seems this addon was broken by a recent gmod update and has reached the end of it's life (the creator no longer updates it)

I appreciate posts like this because it reminds us that the community really cares about the the server. In my opinion, there hasn't been a whole lot going on recently. I think the days when we had 60-80 staff members there was a lot more going on that kept people preoccupied and entertained. If anyone wants to see a change in the staff team and has the time, I would encourage you to apply. Being a part of the discussion, present and active in the meetings, and helpful in training new staff members is the best way to affect change. Get your friends together, apply for staff, and work together to build a staff team that you think the community needs and deserves.

Go to Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\data and send me your titsrpweaponslots.txt file here or on Discord. If the file doesn't exist, try making a change using !wepslots and then check again to see if this file exists.
