  1. @GoatNuts Harsh life reality: Wherever there is power of any kind to be had, the people that should be in those positions are usually the people that have no interest in those positions. The people that actively seek those positions tend to be the ones that should be no where near said positions.

I don't know what BriskyBri said exactly (I don't want to know, ignorance is bliss). I do know that she was banned from that other server for "Pedo" on July 13, 2023. Do I think something she did in a different community should have affected her standing here? Unless the offense was extremely heinous, then no. But I don't know the comments, so likely the right call was made. That being said, do I think that people should go out of their way to look up steamids for dirt on other players? Absolutely not.

@The Worst Dad Damn, you stepped down/ maybe got demoted too?

@RubikDude, we all love you man, but c'mon. You said that in your opinion a whole lot hasn't been going on lately? Two admins, 3-4 smods, and a handful of mods all gone in one summer. All the years I've played here (est. March 2017), I've never seen that type of high-profile (rank wise) turnover. Ever.

Something's rotten in the state of TitsRP.

both of these maps (c18 & evocity) have a special place in my heart and both appeal to a very specific type of server. I would love to find a decent server that uses either of these maps. I know Kdawg doesn't like the evocity map because of how insanely large it is.

I'm willing to play Devil's Advocate for Evocity. For the purpose of this post, Evocity will refer to rp_evocity_v33x. I'll start by asking why TitsRP can't be that decent server? On a 100+ player night, I can easily see evocity being used to its full potential.

Evocity has plenty of features that overlap with downtown_tits_v2 such as

    . dedicated gambling area

. fountain/park (where the current NPCs could be placed)

. PD with jail (honestly, that jail could be its own PrisonRP)

. good size body of water that could be used for fishing (rip scuba diver and shark jobs)

. A large selection of shops, homes, and industrial bases to rp in

Evocity's size can actually enhance the RP and playability of the server. Vehicles are readily available and can easily overcome the large horizontal size of the map. Maybe more vehicles can be added since Evocity has a built-in car dealership (TDM Cars anyone?). There is an off-road slum that can easily serve as a hobo homeland. PD is super big and houses a FBI office (CP mains would rejoice). There is a built-in hospital (I'd move the health station there and have a separate armor station still in the pd) that borders the suburbs and could spread the population out a bit.

I'll quickly address the lack of sewers. Evocity does not have sewers. It makes up for it with a lot of large warehouse/industrial scale bases. Those are more or less the same type of bases that are in the sewers. If the sewers section of downtown_tits_v2 was its own horizontal section, then downtown_tits_v2 would likely be as large as evocity_v33x.

Thank you for reading my mini essay.

  3. The following is the workshop link to rp_c18_v2:

One of the first things I noticed is that this map was originally posted on March 19, 2013 and last updated May 22, 2013. So you're suggesting we switch from a 5 year old map to an 11 year old map? C'mon man.

The current map is perfect and iconic at this point (see how many other servers use downtown_tits_v2). If you ever have a chance, subscribe to the original downtown_tits and open it up in single player. You'll never say anything against downtown_tits_v2 again, I can guarantee that.

  4. When I saw the UNICEF, UN, and stopbullying.gov stuff, I thought this was a joke post.  I realize that this is indeed a serious post. Oh boy...

First of all, harassment is against the server rules. Clearly the definitions of harassment differ. The server's definition is repeated targetting over a proven significant period of time. Yours seems to be intentional misgendering(?) or something.

As for the hate speech part. That's also against server rules. Everything you mentioned (except the misgendering nonsense) is against the server rules. You just have to gather actual evidence if you want anything done about it.

You must be new here because this is actually the most tame period in the server's history. I can only imagine the meltdown you would have had in the pre-2020 days (IYKYK).

Take a step back and realize you came on the forums of a server on a game that's almost 16 years old to talk about harassment and hate speech. Don't take this place too seriously. You're taking it way too personally.

Just find your people and chill. Then shoot anyone starting shit (after 3 adverted warns of course).

  5. This is something that I have noticed a lot of in the 11 months I've returned to being active.

This is how it usually goes down. I call a sit against someone I accuse of mass rdming. The staff member who accepted the sit brings me. The staff member then teleports and jails the person I have accused. The sit proceeds from there.

Other times I see players getting teleported and jailed for non mass rdm sits only to be unjailed within 5 minutes.

What's going on there? I swear teleporting and jailing was never so widely used a few years ago. What happened?

I believe that teleporting and jailing before speaking to the accused starts sits off on the wrong foot. Psychologically, the accused is likely to believe that they are already being presumed as guilty and the quality of the sit suffers. That's partially why ban appeals where the poster types some form of "The staff member didn't listen to me" happen.

Speaking of presuming guilt, anytime a staff member asks "Why did you [insert rule violation here] this player?", when in a sit, I internally facepalm. That's a textbook example of presuming guilt that causes the accused to behave defensively. That's part of where the perceived bad attitudes from players in sits come from. This behavior is killing the quality of sits.

Now I'm not here to type out a rant without any solutions to my grievances. My solutions are what I did when I was a staff member way back in the day and I'm putting my 0 report against and 0 ban appeals on bans I issued record on the line.  The following is what I think can bring dignity and quality back to sits:

. When you bring players to a sit, tell the accused what they are there for in a *non-accusatory* way. For example: Player A has accused you of [rule violation here]. Or Player A says you [rule violation here]. Trust me, when the sit starts like that, the accused will be DYING to tell their side. (NOTE: Saying "Why did you rdm this person?" is what NOT to do. You do that and you've set an accusatory tone that will carry through the entire sit.)

. Cut down on the jailing. Give the players some dignity. If you believe someone might snap, have your admin stick out and set it to the freeze function. If a player tries any shenanigans, you freeze them, jail them, unfreeze them, and continue with the sit.

Feel free to discuss what you think about this topic and what I said on it.

that's why it's against the rules

I understand it's against the rules (tbh, I learned that when I saw your reply)  However as it currently plays out, the risk/reward factor heavily tilts in the rule breaker's favor.

Here's what I mean by that.

What does the rule breaker have to lose by breaking this rule? A FailRP warn? A single rdm ban at worst? What do they gain? The Mayor they want out of office is no longer in office and their only punishment is a slap on the wrist warn.

What does the victim lose? Obviously they lose out on being Mayor. By the time they make a sit about it, a new Mayor may have already been elected. If the victim wants to get the Mayor job back, they have to hope that the incumbent Mayor has a short term AND go through the election process again (that has 0 guarantees of victory).

  7. I think this one is pretty straight forward. I've seen (and had it happen to me a few times) that a Mayor has strict office access laws, a cop enters legitimately. and finally that same cop changes to Mayor's Assassin behind a door. Where's the skill or fairness in that? The Mayor's Assassin job is about using stealth and cunning to gain access to the PD. Being able to change to Mayor's Assassin in the PD or right next to the Mayor defeats that entire purpose in my opinion.

  8. The max fine limit used to be 20k. You see how Mayors typically make every law violation a 5k fine now? It was 20k back in the day. It was hilariously fun if you were a CP. If you were not a CP, it became very annoying very quickly. I remember it was reduced to 5k because of the driving new players away argument. Which made perfect sense. Imagine joining a DarkRP server for the first time and one of the first things that happens is that you're fined for 20k for walking around.

In addition, nowadays jail time is tied to how big the fine is. A 20k fine would be around 5-7 minutes in jail (if unpaid). If you want a way to kill the server, that's an express lane.

The time for exorbitant fines came and went. The 5k limit was generally welcomed by the community back when it was changed and there have been almost no complaints about it since.

  9.

Okay, this thread has been derailed a bit. Let me try to get this back on track.

I'm one of the pioneers of small models (actually *the* pioneer). I know how Sugar/KDawg really feels about small cc models. Let's just say that back in 2017, it took a bit for me to talk him into importing the first smaller than citizen sized cc model. It was quite the exchange on Discord. I promised him that I wouldn't raid or base with it. Sound familiar? Yeah, that's what the ruleset with small models is based off of. I also know for a fact that if Sugar could do it all over again, he would *never* allow smaller cc models on the server. But it's far too late and too much money has exchanged hands.

As for the suggestion itself, there was a brief time when the Grim Reaper and Mike Myers were based on % of health rather than the number itself. It was reverted to discourage usage of small models. I wish it wasn't that way. Michael Myers and the Grim Reaper should account for max hp once again.

Quite frankly, I think that further handcuffing small models is very unfair. They already have health reductions, damage reductions, and are unable to buy any basing entities. But those gameplay reasons are not my biggest bone to pick. (warning: rant incoming)

My biggest bone to pick is the fact that players are paying money (sometimes good money) for these models only to be non-verbally told that what they're buying is frowned upon. Who the hell buys a custom model hoping to get knifed by Michael Myers all play session? The server happily takes the money paid, but then tries to relegate what was bought to second-class status? Are you kidding me?  To me, that doesn't sit well. Not when the *minimum* price for custom content is $30. Not when custom content is most likely the biggest source of passive income for the server. It's just... a slap in the face to long time players who have spent their hard earned money over the years. To anyone that wants to go "Haha, you spent money on a Gmod server. Imagine doing that. lol", gaming is a hobby. Like all hobbies, people are willing to spend stupid amounts of money to support them. When you are earning your own money, you can spend it however you want. I can *guarantee* that you would not take kindly to anyone trying to tell you what to do with your own money.

Rant over. With the Michael Myers and Grim Reaper thing, the only realistic thing to do is adapt. If either of them come at you swinging, you are justified in trying to kill them. Or put a Master Sword on your CC and jump out of dodge. That'a about all you can do now.

  10. Maybe I'm wrong, but you sound like one of those kidnappers who tries to snatch people in the middle of a crowded area and then wonders why they got mowed down. I understand that most players stay clustered downtown and that being discreet would take more time, but kidnapping isn't supposed to be such a brazen thing. If you like to kidnap and don't have the pocket sand perk and you constantly get caught red-handed, it sounds like a skill issue to me.

  11. Tene, your reply answered most of my questions and concerns.

As for what I meant by tight districts, that was American delivery driver slang leaking out. My bad. A "tight" area is a small, condensed area with a lot of delivery stops. Much beloved in the delivery driver profession because you empty your truck quickly. I say all that to mean that I was agreeing with the district idea and that I liked it.

Based on your above reply to each of my points, my only remaining concern is the red district. I don't think much can be done about it since downtown is always a hotbed of activity.

As for the party assist thing and raids, I guess the staff team will have to have a meeting to re-define assists if we're going to be going down this road.

    • Thanks 1
  12. First of all, Merry Christmas everyone.

To start off with a disclaimer, I'm not much of a baser/raider, so several of my opinions may  "ignorant" of the overall situation.

That aside, I don't think it's the best idea to "spread out" the pvp involved in raiding. I already forsee several misunderstandings happening and the staff team having to deal with a lot of sits from either players caught in crossfire or raiders killed because their bullet grazed someone in crossfire. Keeping raids pinned to the base being raided has the additional benefit of letting people know what's going on.

The district idea isn't a bad idea. If we're going to spread out pvp combat, keeping it in tight districts is the way to go. However, the picture in the original post shows that not every district is created equal. Quite frankly, the red district is a clusterfuck and on its own is enough to derail the entire concept. I don't think any further explanation is necessary. Also, please tell me that the hot pink district isn't everything from the street all the way to the beach house island?

Here's an area of this rule change that I think needs more fleshing out: the sewers. How do the sewers factor into the proposed district idea? The majority of the proposed districts have one or several entrances to the sewers (red, dark blue, light blue, dark green, purple, and burgundy [forest area]). I'm assuming that they would have their own separate ruleset. What about the bases that connect directly to them (the warehouse downtown [that pesky red district] and that one house in the green district)?

That's my two cents. Maybe an actual raiding expert can come in here? @1-800-Suicide

  13. This server is probably the only large server that allows one way props. This is also probably the only server that has raiding methods that can destroy entire bases in seconds with a relatively small investment.

Unfortunately, it hasn't worked out so well. The non-LOS methods of raiding have tilted the balance in the raiders' favor so much that basing is no longer worth the hassle for many players.

Another slightly less talked about aspect is the massive difference between the haves and have nots. "Timmy_user" likely does not have the means to defend a base from "Rich_veteran". "2017 basing" at least gave "Timmy_user" a chance to take on "Rich_veteran" in a skill to skill headmatch as opposed to outspending.

This would be a welcome chance and maybe the whole map could be used for basing once again.

  14. I'm proud of the TitsRP community has reacted to this thread. You all collectively came out and shut down this borderline bestiality boy who's trying to force people to accept his kink as normal behavior. And he got exposed trying to sexualize a Doberman. These furries man, I swear... 🤦‍♂️.  Wait a sec, isn't this the same guy with the whole ahegao fox profile pic thing too? Oh boy..... 🤦‍♂️

To actually address op's question: Simply no. A pedo joke/accusation can actually ruin someone's reputation, legal standing, and life. A zoophilia joke/accusation could do that, but most people would get off with being simply thought of as weirdos.

@YeenNicoYou probably shouldn't have posted this here. People irl who don't know what a furry is would already think you're a weirdo if they saw you wearing your costume in public on non-Halloween days. The people that do know what furries are well... you've already seen their reaction.

Someone should lock this thread before YeenNico gets shit on more than he already has.

  15. I very respectfully disagree with this suggestion. Kidnapping is the way it is now because of community complaints.

At its peak (read: absolute worst), you almost couldn't walk the streets without a kidnap attempt made on you by a member of one of 4 kidnap bases in a small area. And was just CC kidnappers. Add in Cultists and Aliens, and it became unbearable.

That being said, I'd compromise on removing several kidnapping nerfs as long as the individual cooldown stays intact.

  16. Based on the title, you probably know where this is going.

Based on years of observation and lurking, I believe that there are too many slots on TitsRP.

I understand that it was a long time goal of Sugar's for the server to be optimized for 128 people, but in my opinion, the current optics do not justify 128 slots.

I understand that schools are gradually going into summer break and that the server should (emphasize the should) see more activity, but what about the other 10 months of the year? Having the server sit at 45-68/128 for 10 months out of the year looks really bad and actively drives away potential new players.

If you were a new player, which server would you likely want to join? The half full 64/128 server or a server that seems buzzing with 78/90? Human psychology would favor the 78/90.

If you go on gametracker and track TitsRP's stats, for the past 30 days, the server hasn't cracked 96 players (75% capacity!) during peak times. Actually, I'll paste the following link:

    https://www.gametracker.com/server_info/208.103.169.23:27015/

In conclusion, 128 slots is too large for the current state of the server. I believe that 90 slots is the sweet spot for our community. Feel free to discuss what you all think.

  17. Hello TitsRP! It's Makoto. I'm returning to the server after a very long haitus.

For those of you that don't know me, I'll briefly introduce myself. I've been playing on this server on and off since March 2017. I was a staff member for a very brief period (April 2018 - June 2018) before getting bored of it. I'm also the man who at one point accounted for 65% (give or take) of all the anime models on the server. If you hate anime models, you would have hated the server 3-4 years ago when I was my most active.

Nowadays, I'll likely only have time to come during some weeknights (depending on how my day at work went) and weekends (weekend for me = Sun. and Mon.) . You'll likely see me either roaming around on my CC or as an Alien kissing everyone.

Based on my most recent session on the server, I can see that not much has changed overall (in a good way). I hope to have good old TitsRP style fun with you all.

  18. So I got onto the server and I became cp went into the jail cells. There was an anime girl in there.  Pd laws were that pd is kos, and default rule is obviously past 2nd door in pd is aos. I arrested the anime girl and a officer unarrests the anime girl. I call a sit claiming it was an unfair arrest and a staff member claims that they cant deduct that they were past 2nd door in pd. I give him the deductive info to prove it and he completely ignores me. Saying well bud i cant do anything unless you have evidence. So I tell him just to bring the guy and he does and the guy admits he was past 2nd door. So he asks why and he says the mayor said not to arrest that person or kill him. I said it says in the motd it states not to make a law to make someone above the law. He says because it wasnt a law its ok. ( this is a story i dont wanna make a report but the staff member could use some training.)

So basically what im trying to say is confirm it is against the rues or make it against the rules. It overides the rule of past 2nd door in pd is aos.

That's basically Mayor's orders. Yes the law said x, but the Mayor can say in pd group chat to not arrest y because he wanted him in the PD. Since the Mayor can fire cp, there's an incentive to not disobey the Mayor's orders.

  19. Based on the subject line, you should know what this is about. If you didn't know, Rigbe got perma-banned off some complete bs. I'm not going into details. If you want to talk about that, dm me @Rastaman Vibrations #3318 on Discord. Moving on, this is aimed at the upper administration (Doc, Big Heart, Walter the Assaulter, Sugar) who in my humble opinion have made a terrible call.

Big Heart and Doc, I'm not sure what your roles were in this (if you even had one). I honestly think you two were along for the ride on this one. You two get a minor pass (for now).

Sugar, I already spoke to you. Nothing more needs to be said. I know how you feel on this subject and respect you for even taking the time to respond to my inquiry.

That just leaves you Walter. In my mind, you're the mastermind behind this whole thing. You probably called the meeting that decided Rigbe's fate. I'm about 98% sure that Sugar wouldn't go out of his way to do this kind of thing. I knew two days ago when you were all over our group that something was off. Something about the way you were interacting with us was strange. Mainly because before then you NEVER gave any of us that kind of attention. For you to come out of the blue acting like you want to be a part of what we were doing seemed odd at worst. Gut feelings are usually spot on and I was right in my assumption. That fake mask you put on to try and hide your little "investigation" may have fooled some people, but you couldn't fool me. This decision is a complete 360 from many months ago at the height of a different situation involving Rigbe (you were out there defending him if I remember correctly). If you felt that he was that kind of person, why not just let him know. Why be a snake and go through all of this? To what end? I'm not going to go speculate anything.

There have been other suspicious perma bans over the past few months as well, but those I won't get into. Other users can surely do that. Feel free to use this DISCUSSION thread to discuss your grievances.

All I know is that there's something rotten in the state of TitsRP. The higher up the staff chain you go, the more rancid the smell. Walter, if you have anything to say that contradicts my conspiracy theory, by all means, please share it. Either here, or dm me on Discord (@Rastaman Vibrations #3318). But please, spare me the cliches. ("He's been warned about this in the past." "He has a history.") I don't want cliches. I want answers.

I know what's most likely going to happen though. This thread will either be locked or deleted. I'll most likely receive a forum ban. Those actions would confirm my suspicions.

Final words: Free my man Rigbe. He's not that kind of person. We all know that. #FreeRigbe

  20. Here we go again. Another complaint about the CPs allegedly being "too op". First it was the Juggernaut nerf, then Insta-cuffs, now you're going after arrest batons?! Let's be honest here, this is just an attempt to further nerf the cps so that raiders and other criminals can run around with impunity. You said adding realism to arresting? How about adding realism to raiding? The way a lot of people "raid" isn't realistic either. But I digress. The rate of fire for the arrest baton? Seriously? You're grasping at straws at this point.

You are free to explain why you think it shouldn't be changed rather than just rant that you dont like the idea.

My suggestion is simply because I do see and have seen people do what the op explains and think that it really doesn't have any requiremennnt in terms of skill if you think lowering rate of fire of the arrest baton is a bad idea that would lead me to belive you're the type of person who would just spam arrest baton while running towards them, which imo isn't rewarding gameplay. Instead if the fire rate is slightly lowered it will be more punishing to players that just run around spamming it. It is not a nerf to most cops and adds a little more skill based gameplay to the job. Like Wilmer said in a corridor or in a corner this would be most noticable since for example if you surprise the raider but miss you are punished for it but you are still rewarded for hitting it. Unskilled gameplay is something I do not like and I think you should be punished for making mistakes, with an exception being that you spend a dumb amount of money on one life to get to be unskilled.

Tbh, I forgot that the op was about baton rushing. Making a rule about it is pointless imo since TitsRP is a server where you have to be wanted for the arrest baton to even work. I see new players try to only use the arrest baton and they learn VERY quickly it doesn't work. The wanted stick timer already keeps baton rushing in check since you have to aim at the right person. As for cuff rushing, insta cuffs are more widespread and even with the nerfs to the distance, are some times more effective than getting in a firefight you know you'll lose.

Also, adding a rule like that could potentially make the cps more trigger-happy than they already can be. Most cps I see on the server try to arrest first (for the money), and I can see a rule like this shifting the behavior to a "shoot first, ask questions later" mentality.

  21. Here we go again. Another complaint about the CPs allegedly being "too op". First it was the Juggernaut nerf, then Insta-cuffs, now you're going after arrest batons?! 22. It doesn't say that u cant raid with it when u use it and it can lockpick... HOWEVER... This model shouldn't be allowed to raid(talking about the noodle bowl as hat model)

im talking about all the small models that should have a fixed model, like most of rastman's models are small models if not all, and they should have fixed POV, im not saying 1 model should, and im not saying only rastman's models should, im saying all the small models that have POV as the normal height models

When I import these models, raiding isn't on my mind. I bring them in because I like the way they look. That being said, it used to be that you'd get a notification as to whether or not the model can raid. As for the noodle bowl model, I had to talk Sugar into importing it for me. If it's that big an issue, I can always take the price off of it and make it so that the only way to get it for me to manually add people to it.
