Reasons why you are reporting: I was getting fired at by one of Warrior's friends so then I killed him. A minute later, Warrior kills me so I asked him why. He said that they were in the same gang but, parties and gangs are 2 different things.

Parties and gangs are 2 different things but both tie people together with a valid rp relationship as long as it does not contradict rp logic like a pedo defending the mayor because of "gang" or some bs like that. 

 

Summary: Both provide proper rp affliation as long as parties are on the same team.

 

Although you killing him seems like rdm, At around 10:08 we see nathan or whoever was on the rooftop just randomly shooting behind miko bear. Blatantly at the ground without hitting anyone. But you decide to kill him anyways... at 10:10

My own opinion is that that should be enforced when suitable but to my knowledge they are only guidelines. Also walter asks relevant questions ingame, couldn't it be resolved in a sit?

Nathan and I were standing on a roof, you decide to kill Nathan for whatever reason, I honestly have no idea why, then I proceed to kill you once I healed up because you gunned down Nathan for no reason. I was standing right next to Nathan when this happened, so I killed you for killing my gang member.

Oh yeah, I remember this being brought up ingame. 

Apparently he killed someone in Grape's gang, then two minutes later Grape kills him out of nowhere. I did talk to Grape in admin chat about it and quoted this rule: "Attacking a player because someone just killed their party / gang member when you were no where near by / not visible." He claims that this rule says that because he was nearby when the kill happened, it was okay to kill him at a later time.

 

I would like to point to the following quotes from MOTD:

 

Examples of a BAD party / gang member

• Sniping a player from across the map because his party member got mugged
   
  
• Attacking a player because someone just killed their party / gang member when you were no where near by / not visible
  

Examples of a GOOD party / gang member

• Running up to the player who killed their party / gang member and telling them they are about to die for killing their member
  

This is our way of trying to convey the fact you can't just kill someone because you're in a gang or party with them, which is a common meme that still manages to run wild since the MOTD is an ancient script only us old men read. There needs to be some form of RP taking place, and not just *snipe* because some guy you might know got killed.

Walter, I killed him a minute later, and no where in the MOTD does it say you cannot kill someone for killing you party/gang members. He sniped my gang member, that was standing RIGHT NEXT TO ME, so I killed him for killing my gang member. I wasn't going to go up to him and say "Oh yeah I'm going to kill you for killing my gang member, just stand there for a sec while I kill you",  I didn't just run up from spawn because Nathan told me to kill him or something, I killed him because he sniped the guy right next to me. How would I know he wouldn't go and kill me if I went to talk to him, he was a danger to me at the time, so I killed him. There should be an actual "rule" saying this isn't allowed if it really shouldn't be allowed. It wasn't even that much later, I healed up with my bacta, because YoooooABear, Nathan, and I were killing each other at the time, and then tried to locate and kill the player that killed Nathan.

This report is about parties and gangs being different, but they are not. There needs to be a clear rule in the MOTD to say if its allowed or not, there was a clear rule before, but now there's nothing. To my knowledge and looking at the MOTD, I did nothing wrong here.

There was a disconnect between what we intended the rules to mean and what meaning other people reading them took away due to vagueness. We will be working on the rules to ensure all players and staff have a clear understanding of what kind of experience we are aiming for on TitsRP.
