Breaking it down it ends up to be moving someone out of a base with a building sign while they are raiding. Because yes, no matter what you think, Trespassing=Raid. Raiding with a building sign is against the rules. As I stated previously, I had no knowledge that the bank was down as I was in my steam overlay watching youtube not looking around the base. And in the few times I did look around, the bank was certainly not there, so he had only recently put it down. At most, this should be a strike since the bank was down, even though I had no knowledge of it, and even when ghost came over, he didnt say something like ¨hey the banks there with a building sign¨ he instead trespassed into the base, I then moved him with my physgun, then he came back and continued to pester me, eventually saying ¨thanks for the screens¨ and running off. Now he did say something about the raidables, but like I said, the chat was being flooded and was going by fast when he did say it so I had not seen it as my resolution only shows 2 or 3 messages at a time in chat. In no way was me using my moderator powers abuse, as ghost was breaking a rule by trespassing into a building base, I was removing him from the base to stop a rule being broken. All in all, this should not be a demotion because I was using my moderator powers to stop someone from breaking a rule. A lot of the time as staff, the easiest option isn't the best option, that's where majority of mistakes fall. It is to be used for legitimate situations requiring its use that does not including flinging people standing and typing outside of a base away. Pay more attention to chat. You can't say he can talk to you if he wants and then not pay attention to when he talks to you and claim you can't see anything in chat. Consider this a request from one staff to another. Use more discretion in your staffing. Several different methods of preventing this situation from happening were suggested in this thread. You are a smart guy, you can figure out something. If something like this happens again, you may land in serious trouble. Report accepted.
