But as I said in the discord, if there was no sit then yeah, the ban was was not legit. Neither of you tried to crash the server. You were merely building a base. Then again, it might've popped up as you guys spamming due to the amount of props in the base? That could be a reason as to why he banned you. I also talked with him about it and said it is still best to use !goto command and question them as to why they are spamming. If they were continuing to spam, then yes, it is best to kick them and ban their steamid. Like I said, I talked with Rubik but we'll have to see what his side of the story is. Those screens are what I saw and I spectated you next. You both are in the same base (as seen in video) one one of you was spawning a dupe of a bunch of fences MULTIPLE TIMES (that's what's key to this ban, it's not the purpose of what you were spawning but how many times you repeatedly spawned the same thing that led me to believe you were attempting to crash the server). Also the video does not show the both of you spawning dupes but you can clearly see in the logs that you both were spawning the same thing multiple times in one place together. Now, the reason for no sit. In my opinion, server security trumps everything else. It's our jobs to keep the server safe from attacks. If I isolate an issue I do not see the need to discuss it in the moment. It would be different if you were failRPing or RDMing or something but this affects EVERYONE, not just you guys or one or two other players. When I witnessed you both spawning dupes over and over again I saw this as a threat to server security and took necessary action. Finally, it is very suspicious to me that you would ask in discord that staff join your "private server" so you can prove to them what you were doing. Given the nature of your ban I find it hard to believe you were not fishing for IPs or something. The best way to discuss a ban is to post publicly on the forums so everyone can see the evidence. It's way sketchy to ask someone to join your private server so they can see what you were really doing, which is why I have not discussed this with you guys in discord as of right now. It's also worth noting that the video you shared does indeed show you logging in, buying your base, etc.. but while I was spectated you for a few minutes, I did not see once anyone attempt to raid you, and I do not see your friend spawning any dupes (as the logs clearly shows). I'm not disputing that this was a base dupe and you guys are basing together. What's suspicious is why you spawned the same thing over and over again. By joing private server i meant gmod so i could put my dupe in im not a hacker nor wish to be one all im trying to do is spend my thankgiveing break playing gmod I JUST REALIZED U GUYS THOUGHT IT WAS TRYING TO CRASH I KEPT SPAWNINg IT IN TO FIX THE LOCATION THEN DELETED IT AND Keptt PUTTING IT BACK UNTIL IT WAS IN THE RIGHT SPOT Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You did spectate them but you didn't ask questions. Also I want to point out that you probably didn't spectate them for even a minute. You just saw then spawning dupes and banned them. IF you did spectate them for a bit you can SEE that he was just trying to get his dupe right. Maybe go to them and ask questions to see if it was more of a misunderstanding? Or maybe just let them know they are causing lag for some people. I understand where you're coming from now but hopefully you learned why I got freaked out when I saw those logs, especially with the amount of times the server crashed today. Mayham Posted November 21, 2017 Share Posted November 21, 2017 I am "the friend" the one that recorded and I didn't mean to crash the server IGN is That0neBanger and steam id STEAM_0:1:92927918 is We were making a base that took up a lot of props and a lot of stacker so while stacking the props we apparently were trying to crash the server unintentionally.
