I'd call it a stretch to ban for something like this. I was going to write exactly this. If he says his side and it's proved to be a mistake, then you can be unbanned now. No one really says much about it, I mean, I've seen a few people say that he's scammed previously and I've seen that in OOC, the one time that someone scammed by Salmon uses /advert to say that Salmon is scamming people, he believes it is metagaming? Think of it this way, someone is advertising that they are buying some random item, a certain person has this item to sell, they lend the other person the item in hopes of getting cash in return, they then get scammed by that person. The person who got the item scammed off of them tells people that the person who scammed them is a scammer. That seems reasonably possible. It doesn't seem very much like it'd be unreasonable, at least not to me.
