I was killing people in the PD as an ICE Chief because the laws read exactly as follows: "Past stairs is KOS/AOS, keep the goon material to the lobby for easy cleanup" The laws didn't specify which stairs so I had to assume (like every other time it says this) that stairs meant the stairs leading from the sidewalk, even though a casino owner was set up in the PD. Admin brought me to a sit and talked over me for like 4 minutes straight before insta banning me, him and his friend were VERY upset and calling me "malicious and invective as fuck" (sorry pal!) The second part of that doesn't make sense either and breaks the following rules: "Your laws must follow some sort of RP guidelines. Making them stupid will result in you being demoted and or kicked. No one likes a dumb mayor." "You can restrict all areas of the map(besides fountain and in front of PD), but not force people to be there. You can only have a maximum of 2 districts restricted at once." Again, if the admin has a problem with this then he should bring the mayor, not me, as the "goon material" part of the law clearly doesn't make sense. The only thing I heard in response was "The mayor said in a broadcast that he meant the upper floor stairs". This doesn't matter, clearly has to be changed in the actual laws, not via a broadcast I didn't even see. If the mayor meant the stairs leading to the upper level of the PD he should specify, otherwise I am going to follow the laws as they are written. Who warned/banned you? PD lobby was legal to be in according to the major. I personally think having the Gamba in PD is a little wild, but this law happens all of the time where PD lobby is legal while past the stairs is aloud. I was killed by you for simply asking a question if it was safe inside of Lobby. I would say my ban is applicable. I would like to hear from others Mods on this matter but the above images should paint the picture for you. I will not take this any further on my end. My vote is -1 for Ban Appeal. If the mayor intended for it to be legal to be in the PD, he should specify in the LAWS instead of in a one time broadcast. That is not my problem that you didn't like how the law was written, If you had a problem with it you take it up with the mayor instead of getting super upset in a sit. Cop rules even specify that good laws should be specific, for example, the good law example of "Walking past the second door in the bank will result in a fine". Why would outside stairs be KOS but allow people in lobby I’m so confused. I also want to mention that most players will assume the MAIN stairs leading UP to 2nd floor of pd when a law is stated “ 2nd floor pd is KOS” or something of the sort. -1 for unban Next time, I recommend reading laws a little more closely. If you think otherwise always make a ticket. Mods can force the mayor to be more specific if the law does is ambiguous. that being said with the image provided it seems clear the intent of the rule was 2nd floor PD being KOS as if the mayor meant the 1st floor i doubt the gambling and other shit would have survived to long. Madx2r0 Posted February 2 Share Posted February 2 Not only did the law say "keep goofing to lobby" implying that the lobby was fine but also in the lobby there was a setup are for gambling. This would have been a simple "hey is it top or lower stairs" in chat to mayor or any PD or read the room with other PD passing by the people in lobby. I can kinda see you misunderstanding that, but in all reality it seems like an easy out for mrdm. Considering you're not new / have a history of bans for mrdm. Im -1.
