Why were you banned or warned?

Warned

Why should you be unwarned/unbanned?

The reason I was warned is not implied anywhere in the rules, I was told I should just "know"

Who warned/banned you?

Henchy

How long were you warned or banned for?

I was walking out of spawn when someone came to kidnap me, they failed, so I ran away a few meters and killed myself.

After the fact I learned they were trying to shoot Tranq at me but missed every shot, so I didn't even notice.

If you don't know me, I just build stuff on the server, that's it, I do not actively participate in regular RP very often (raiding, kidnapping, basing, ect)

BUT I have read the rules up and down quite a few times.

After this situation I was told Ive been reported for this, but when citing the rules, there is nothing to be found about this. My kidnapper failed, why should I be restricted? There is no fear rp or anything.

My issue is simply, I was warned for something NOT in the rules, in fact its not even IMPLIED, in the rules, I was told a have a prior for something similar but you can see the forums post for my last issue was a different situation and since then no staff member has told me this unwritten rule or made me aware that someone failing to kidnap me puts me in a "rp scenario", they failed there RP, it should be my choice to kill them or just kill myself. What does it matter to them?

The main issue is this is a unwritten, unspoken rule I was told im just supposed to "know about", the amount of time I played on the server was also cited, but what does this have to do with anything? There are only 3 ways for me to know about rules logically 1: the written rules, 2: staff telling me, 3: word of mouth from a player.

So as I have already mentioned, this rule is not written, and no staff made me aware of this, and word of mouth? really? me and other players dont sit around discussing rules.

I would also like to mention this "unwritten rule" opens many more questions that would need to be addressed:

1: If a player failed kidnap, how long does it stop there victim from kill binding?

2: if a player failed kidnap, how far can they wander from the victim before this "rp scenario" ends

3: if a player failed kidnap, walks across the map while still firing tranq shots, is it still a rp scenario?

How can I be punished for a rule I had no way of knowing existed, the fine details were impossible for me to know.

How many more of these unwritten rules exist players are just supposed to "know"? Just makes players stressed about every little action, your next move could break a rule you had no way of knowing... Is that the environment we are trying to create? I think situations like this should be left alone, otherwise this opens up the opportunity to force people into unknowingly being in a rp scenario with those players who know just waiting to get them warned for any little thing. Either that or the rule needs to be written down or in the job or SOMEWHERE not just "yeah you should just know".

While we are at it, does anyone has a list of these unwritten rules that are just supposed to be "common sense"? Because if not, then each generation of staff is going to have their own interpretation and set of "common sense" rules.

Clip of you breaking the most common sense rule of all time.

Forums report I made on you for doing something almost identical to this which you received a verbal for.

My one question for you is how in any sort of role play aspect does it make sense for someone to use a command to avoid an active role play scenario. This is such a common sense rule it’s a darkrp(dark ROLEPLAY) server not a sandbox build server.

TitsRP says it prides itself on being different, this shows in its rules, so why should a concept from other darkrp servers be assumed to be used in tits? Players should not be expected to "assume" rules or "just know because, duhh" that does not really make sense. TitsRP does not even mention anything about the creation, or duration, or ruleset of a "rp scenario" outside of a few small examples regarding raiding.

this is completely different, you kidnapped me, not a failed attempt.

this would have been a great opportunity to make me aware of these unwritten rules regarding kidnapping, but I was not told.

regardless of how "common sense" you call it, there is no way for me to know about this specific situation.

Hi yes, when it comes to things like kidnapping, being chased by cops, being in a fight with someone, these kinds of RP scenarios - they don't end just because you ran a little ways away. An RP scenario ends when it is concluded, usually through death or submission of one/both sides. In this scenario, you are saying someone tried to hit you with the baton, missed, and you moved a little ways away and suicided.

This would be considered suiciding to avoid RP and has ALWAYS been a thing, unwritten or not. It's a core function of the server. You do not kill yourself in the middle of an rp scenario, you finish the scenario and then you can killbind. This is not written because it is common sense, but it is certainly a thing, and is considered FailRP.

In your situation if you were being actively hunted you shouldve either chased off/killed the attempted kidnapper, or you should have gotten them to submit. Otherwise its an active scenario until both parties stop pursuing. This would need to have clearly happened to allow killbinding. Your situation as shown by terry (fire clip btw) is CLEARLY an active scenario. This is facts, and can not be defended or argued. You were definitely in the wrong man. -1 for a removal or anything. Honestly I'd just take this down rather than waste time/effort on appealing it, it will be denied due to being fair -as this is not your first time.

You guys are making me aware of this rule now sure, but how was I supposed to know that paragraph you just typed explaining the finer details? Are you all just biased and miss the point? The rule is not in the rules, why should I be punished without first being made aware of its workings?

Seeing as you have receieved a verbal for this already, you clearly know this is a rule?

In that case I got kidnapped, not a attempted kidnapping, I was also never brought up to speed on any details of this rule that is not in the rules.
