It was an honest mistake from someone who actually took the time to read the basing rules beforehand and ensure compliance from staff before actually copying and using the base. Who warned/banned you? How long were you warned or banned for? I was warned for failbasing. The exact provision of the rules that I have been accused of breaking is "Your base must not exploit a head or foot glitch. If you can shoot their head, they must be able to shoot yours. (includes any other body part, don't loophole please)" under the base building rules. To clarify the circumstances around this warning, I built a snipers nest that had cover where I could duck down and not be shot, but I also could not shoot through the cover. I was unaware this specific geometry constituted a glitch. I am serious about maintaining compliance with basing rules, so before I even copied my build to my dupes I asked Steve to verify that the build was compliant with the rules. While we primarily discussed material visibility (which I corrected immediately), I believed that the physical layout was also approved. I had no clue that building a base that had areas where you can duck your head to take cover against oncoming fire was against the rules and as I told Steve in our sit. I will ensure compliance with every other build as far as all fair basing rules are concerned. The rule violation was completely unintentional. Furthermore, I don' t think there was any way Delta could've possibly known that this very niche rule was being broken because he didn't even make it through enough of my base to even reach this section. I know it is just my word against his, but in all seriousness, I wasn't even shooting from the zone with cover that was supposedly where the 'failbase' aspect even came into play. When I defended in a 1 v 1 against him I was just moving around and not using any cover as he caught me by surprise. I found it strange that not a minute after successfully defending my base I was being votebanned for "failbasing". Keep in mind there were like 4 active staff on the server, so I don't know how Delta was able to get away with abusing the voteban mechanic with impunity, but thats neither here nor there. Notwithstanding, TL;DR: I had absolutely no 'malicious intent" of exploiting a head/foot glitch when I was building my base. I was simply trying to build a competitive, fair base. I even checked with staff before I copied my base to ensure compliance before hand. This was an honest mistake, just like Delta's mistake of abusing the voteban system, and I would just like to maintain a clean record on this server. Not only that but with the clip provided, I can easily see that the "fail base" sniper's nest, didn't allow him to target raiding players that can't also attack him. When he's crouched, he can only shoot you after you're passed defenses, in which you're also able to shoot him. Steve educated him on exactly what was needed considering this base was completely in line with the standards put on a base. The rule is made specifically to stop the head and foot glitch bases with props that are a half foot off the ground or below the head to stop people from seeing certain fading door attacks on them.
