why no fourm threads to commentate?

hi staff, and players, and especially rubik
why have the commentary threads been vanquished and eradicated? why can't players voice opinions of concern, disapproval, or approval of specific appeals/bans or reports?
this feels suppressive, and unhealthy, the initial one was up for ages, the only reason it was taken down because people were just harrassing eachother on there, but, simply, if the fourms did there job, which, yknow, is a role to do, those issues wouldn't be there, and players could freely commentate.

for clarification for you gaylord staff chinese communist party-like people, this is not a fourm thread, this is me expressing my opinion and thoughts to the community, you haven't hidden the other few that are around. [even if they're hardcore shitposts] 
staff themselves seem to enjoy it as well, a place to commentate on warns/appeals/bans without filling and stuffing a offical fourm post, rather another place to perhaps give an opinion or content toward players.

 

at the end of the day it's understandable rubik can really do what he wants and pleases and the cattle addicts will continue to play regardless of what he does [he's that guy]
but i think having one is a good idea, especially if people like me wanna talk about it on the fourms, it's in the discussion place, i get that there can be issues caused by them, but, read below, and you'll see my 100% foolproof solution.

have a discussion thread about the server, yet, we can't speak about bans/warns/appeals of the server

i myself am not tryna attack yalls, or anything, im just sincerely tryna actually have a discussion thread, it's two braincells to use.

 

1. follow the rules i had listed in mine
2. staff actually, yknow, moderate it [wow one more fourm! surely the staff team will crumble under such workloads.]
3. profit.

 

like, it's genuinely not difficult to mod the fourms, its the easiest thing to moderate honestly

the first fourm commentary thread lasted ages, and it being unmoderated is the reason it was an issue, because no staff actually took action on anything being said there unless it was really agregious.

 

just, moderate it gng!

So why was my initial fourms commentary hidden, of course I understand the original guy was fucky wucky, but tthe intiial one followed fourms rules, any posts made in accordance by specific players shouldn't qualify for the removal/hiddence of my thread commentary.
It perfectly followed rules, it is not my responsibiltiy to moderate as i am no longer staff, to mod my own thread, what others say shouldn't threat my own thread, just hide/warn/remove those singular messages, no?

All of them = the first thread which was an obvious alt account named jake skylynx. Also that account isn't even banned like you claim.

Some people not behaving in the thread = the thread is deleted. How does this make sense? That is clearly on the people using a positive thread, not the thread itself.

 

Pretending like a discussion won't have opposing views or any criticism is extremely naive but those discussions will almost always lead to solutions and better outcomes instead of most often staff cliques running the show which has been proven to be extremely detrimental. 

A discussion thread is pretty needed when there are staff members who just get things wrong all the time. You don't allow people to post things on the actual ban appeals or reports so just allow people to discuss things civilly in a separate thread.

I remember that the first and second were originally removed because it was getting really uncivil and moderators weren’t doing anything about it because they feared of getting called out for it.

Unless I missed something, I don’t know why this one was hidden since Sanzu isn’t a community removed player’s alt…

not sure what community removed player you are thinking about but you are wrong about this. The person who made the first thread is not banned and hasnt been banned for months. You yourself pinned a message to this thread saying to stay civil and on topic the only issue was staff picking and choosing which person they wanted to enforce this pinned message on. If they actually enforced it and didnt allow their friends to comment off topic issues it would have been fine. The user who made the thread is the one who actually shut it down and hid it because staff and users were not using it how he intended. Having a dedicated forums post to discuss ban appeals and reports is way healthier and looks cleaner than having people do it on the discord.

You would have to reach out to the staff member that hid it directly and ask them. Usually it will say at the top of the thread who hid it and why.

yeah see I can't see who hid it, because im not staff, because, only staff can see hidden threads, even if i own it, doesn't show up mate.

staff shouldn't hide rule-abiding threads at all, they should be hiding the rule-breaking posts in it
if i go in someone's discussion thread and call someone mean and rule-breaking words, and cause drama there, does that thread get hidden?
