the mayor pushed a law saying RDM was completely okay and everyone began killing eachother.

so i began killing people as well... and then i just got insta teleported into a jail sit and tried to tell him why i rdm'ed and he just insta banned me lmfao.

no chance to speak or explain that i did it because of the mayor's laws, i thought that it was okay? people were killing me too so yeahhh just weird how i got instantly banned for 1 week for that even being a VIP. zero chance of speaking lol i was just confused it was so quick.

So you were probably my 6th ban by this point and you saw i was banning people for MRDM , i pulled you in and you kept saying but the mayor but the mayor said and its weird because you have warns for rdm , you've been educated on the matter recently and obviously know better because you were laughing the second i pulled you into the sit Jailed. Just because the herd does one thing doesn't mean you follow take that as a life lesson.

If you check the rules, many clearly state actions that are against the rules. As a player, it’s your responsibility to know these, no matter what role you are playing.

 

As a cop:

- Always try to arrest players instead of gunning them down to promote a better RP experience. Use your best judgment when deciding to kill or arrest a criminal. This is an RP server, so more RP means better experiences for everyone.

 

As Mayor:

- You cannot make KOS laws outside of the PD.

- You can override any default illegal activity except for murder, printing, stealing, or kidnapping.

As mayor, he cannot override base server rules. Those that attempt to do so are known as Fail Laws: Laws that break or contradict the server rules. (not enforceable)

I understand both sides of the story. With your past being distant on this server, you may not remember the rules. You feel it was unfair that you were banned for a week for a rule thought the mayor could override. And on top of that, he may not have noticed your priors were so long ago, especially since he was stressed with many bans due to a massive amount of RDM sits. I’ll share my opinion below.

 

+1 for lowering the ban to 3 days if he is able/willing to pass a test on the server rules I don’t mind making myself. (If he does this, the ban should end at midnight CST)

^ Sadly this most likely won’t happen due to how late I posted this, and not many people will see my opinion.

Only problem with all of this is the fact he knew better , it was clear with his attitude and manor of speaking to me during the sit he was laughing and trying to play off as the laws said so , He is an older player and he may not have been active all these years he still knows for the better half of the rules and the simple dos and don'ts

 

I am a big preacher of leniency as of recently,  but this guy obviously wasn't apologetic or even sorry for what he did until after he was punished and for that reason he gets none from me. I appreciate your input vapidtex but he should wait out his ban and learn from it.
