Hi.

I really wanted to start this appeal off by saying I have been missing the gameplay of TitsRP and have been missing the friends I met from this server as well as my fellow staff members from when I was moderator.

I was given permission by Rubik to make another appeal since the first appeal I created had a fair amount of staff-members who were uneducated about the situation. Some of the moderators who were commenting were saying that the Quad0 flag that Rubik banned me for was 100% not faulty which isn't the case. I also have had help from a few friends since my native language if French since I live in Canada/Quebec.

I wanna start off by talking about anticheats and I wanna state that I have been learning the rights things to say from people who are actively trying to prove my innocence. Let's start off by correcting players or staff members who think that our current anticheat is flawless. All anticheats have flaws and some more than others and the truth in my case is that I was among 1 other user who has been flagged falsely in this manner. We both were flagged for our view angles being in the exact same way (Y value of 270), this basically means the server is sensing that we are looking outside of what our camera should be able to see. This is all reportedly from server-sided checks with consistent time checks that make sure this isn't just an one-time odd occurrence.

The problem with Garry's Mod and my banning is when you're playing on a 16-tick, highly custom-content server like TitsRP and add a little bit of lag with an old game like it is, weird shit can happen.

So what exactly was I doing when I got banned?
The server was low-pop and was at night-time (EST time) and I was playing around as a joke with 800x600 resolution (or other low resolutions, I can't remember). I was playing around with different resolutions when I was about to RDM zone with Malicious and I switched resolutions and once my game started responding, I tried to move around and shoot and move my mouse around and started getting REALLY bad rubber-banding (you can try this yourself if you play later in the day after changing your graphic settings).

What I think happened is I was flagged for aimbot due to my client (my game client and gameplay) moving around erracticly shooting and trying to move in all sorts of directions during this rubberbanding while the server was trying to sync up to my game being unresponsive. If you type net_graph 1 and change your resolution display settings on TitsRP and then notice your "in:" packets, you'll see a huge rise in your packets flooding cause the server is trying to send your client so much information at once to sync up for when you were lagged out.

Enough explanation though, here is some information to prove my innocence (if allowed):

Here is the flag that got me banned:
Ego (STEAM_0:0:636762791) triggered TYPE1 AIMBOT detection. view angles out of range! [TYPE1 values: {p=0,y=270,r=0}, weapon: weapon_aliengun, TYPE2 values: 0, players nearby: {} [DEV: false]

Here's another flag that was false from another user I don't know if I'm allowed to mention:
HIDDEN (STEAM_HIDDEN) triggered TYPE1 AIMBOT detection. view angles out of range! [TYPE1 values: {p=0,y=270,r=0}, weapon: Unknown, TYPE2 values: 0, players nearby: {{"dercoolebre","STEAM_0:0:937698351",},{"sevrer owner","STEAM_0:0:47594423",},{"Conormcl03","STEAM_0:0:850692727",},} [DEV: false]

The difference here is that I have 0 players nearby when I "aimlocked" and the other false flag from the other user has players nearby. Also notice how they are both aligned the same with the view-angles of Y being 270.

fullscreen, windowed, or borderless? im trying to reproduce this myself

I do recall one day that you were in the RDM zone changing your resolution to try to PVP on an obscure size, I can attest that from past experience if you swap your resolution there is a rare chance that while your game is frozen changing resolution there's a small chance that it can read your mouse and keyboard movements and it gives off that internet lag feel where you just keep walking forward until everything catches up. It's possible that this sort of thing happened or this could be resolution related due to how the engine handles when settings are being changed especially the resolution. I remember from personal experience atleast when I first started playing GMod on my older laptop that when I would change my resolution I would continue to click buttons and try to move around and whenever my game would unfreeze and change I would be in an entirely different position due to me lagging away.

I do remember someone named @Slippery Banana that had also triggered this same exact thing. Maybe we could ask him how he was able to trigger this sort of flag.

Aside from all this information Rubik has stated and confirmed that this is possible to trigger due to lag, obviously we don't know anything with 100% accuracy and everything has flaws nothing is perfect. I can attest that Ego is one of the dumbest people when it comes to being tech savvy no offense, he doesn't even know that you can copy and paste an image from discord but rather drags the image to his desktop to then repost to "copy paste".

As for now unless more information gets brought up I will leave this as a +1 for a reduced or full unban

Appreciate the knowledge drop Mark.

I don't personally think you cheated. you were always pretty good player who raided a lot and sometimes I thought you needed to go outside ngl. I used to raid with you a long time ago and you've never been fishy at all and going off what Mark said I do believe there is a strong possibility this was a false flag since Ego is in fact not "tech savvy" granted this doesn't necessarily mean he is unable to download cheats and figure out how to use them. The resolution change makes sense since apparently it can trigger due to lag or freezing? I'm still wondering how it triggered with 0 people nearby and why the view angle is the same for both you and that other player.

Also, an issue staff had was the fact you named yourself Egoware and adopted a cheater personality I remember speaking to you about that and I eventually figured out it was a joke, so I didn't really care, it still hurt your credibility for some people.

But like what was mentioned there is a big chance this was a false flag, and I know Ego wouldn't cheat and throw away everything he's had on this server.

I'm going to leave this as a +1 for an unban at this current time, my vote is still subject to change if any new information pops up.

Alright I'll start off by recapping my last message in your previous appeal.

Quote

Idk about anyone else but if someone made an appeal about being falsely flagged and there was reasonable levels of doubt AND certainty in their own rights - I would be interested in at least investigating further. I'm definitely not egos friend nor do i honestly care about them. (No disrespect to ego,its just we aren't even acquaintances and have never interacted)

If ego was DEFINITELY a filthy cheater I'd be laughing at him for it. I just don't see beyond reasonable doubt like how it's supposed to be.

I'd like to make note that you noticeably had people who disliked you in your last appeal. You had the odds weighed against you from the start. There should not be any personal conflict at this point in time. The only reason I was ever -1 for an unban on you is because I was under the impression that the anti cheat was just NOT plausibly deniable enough to confidently +1. At the same time though as i mentioned in my response it was also not concrete or definitive. You absolutely made it hard to fully trust in you due to the nature of your situation for sure though.

As I said before it's just not solid enough to be confident you're a cheater on titsrp. You are a cheater in other places though so that really screwed you over. I'm willing to give you a chance - it's just not 100% and it's supposed to be 100%. Rubiks AC is great but I really wish there had been more of a deep dive before hand. As he stated lag is a possibility.

I do think part of the ABSOLUTE requirement to be unbanned is to never make another cheating joke again. I really think that is only fair to have as an expectation. Don't make a mockery of being given a chance if you are given one.

+1

I also think the server means too much to you to cheat - however this is a really rare situation if this actually was a false ban. As blue said he couldn’t recreate it — if we could re create it according to your story, I’d be a strong +1 .

The only real proof we have that you did anything was that the anti cheat singled you out. And of all people in the world it picks you - someone who jokes about cheating and has created a persona around that bit. And also cheated in other games so it’s something you’re capable of

I feel like the general opinion  is that it *could* be a false flag and if we aren’t positive we should unban. I think if you are unbanned you shouldn’t make cheating jokes anymore and the ban should revert if you’re heard/clipped doing so.

If this is do-able I’m a +1 for ban reduction

without it I’m -1 for a ban reduction

Hello Ego.

Aside from everything else that could conjur my opinion, I'd like some more information if you can provide it, really ANYTHING, Any extra processes, maybe something like Crosshair X, some driver boosters or performance enhancers for PC, overlays, ect.
I have achived what you had said! I set my resolution and back-dropped my main menu and rubberbanded the fuck out, I hit a 19k then a 40k packet burst/loss and took several seconds for the server to find my responses again, However I cant trigger the anticheat, even WITH people around me, I shoot at them and It doesn't quite detect it.
The reason I ask is because if it uses Lua code there's a chance [Rubik is smarter so he could dislodge my theory] But it could run off a similar branch that could basically T-bone Quad0's detection to sniff out clients and scripts, It'd be a one in a MILLION Chance however it could've happened somewhere.

Secondly, I've ran through about every resolution in Fullscreen AND Borderless Windowed so far, I'll keep toying with my graphics and even lag my own internet to increase the unresponsiveness of my game to the client

After looking into it objectively and the whole story behind:

Ego was a known raider in the community, he also raided basically everyone, therefore he gathered a handful of people who didn't like him.

These players basically framed Ego as a cheater or basically called him one because he was good at one thing, which was raiding.

Therefore, he just played along with it. When you get ridiculed anyway as a cheater why not make a joke about it? Basically, that was his whole roleplay within the community.

After he played his RP further people took it too seriously and tried all the time to frame him as one after every raid. Boom, there you have his cheating persona.

If you thought to look into this more:

You can clearly see there [TYPE2 values: 0, players nearby: {} [DEV: false] were no players around him. Why should someone be flagged for aimbot when no one is even around you? Like why the flag in the first place ?

Therefore we also have a statement that Markcx pointed out in which Rubik (Headadmin) himself admits that due to a lag its possible that the flag can happen.

In conclusion, we had a big room of doubt with:

A. People are framing him as a cheater, so it basically fits more into the narrative.

B. No actual evidence and therefore the possibility that false flags can happen. We even had  another player which that happened the same in the past.

C. No further information or any proofs, he infact cheated, which falsifies the doubt situation we have now.

Therefore, my vote is with the facts above:

+1 for an unban
