For a moderator, I never thought someone like him would go on a power trip. I was messing around with my buddy sperm bank and called a sit on him to scare him, I got brought up by the moderator and I killed Sperm as a joke and told the moderator I was joking, if it was a real problem he could of gave me a warning, I would have been cool with that, but for this man to freeze man bring sperm bank back and straight up say yea this guy is getting banned, without even letting explain it was a joke is beyond crazy. He proceeded to ask sperm bank it is up to him what he wants to happen and sperm said it is all cool man, but this staff member ended up banning me anyway for IRDM in a sit and player toxicity. I was being rude to the staff member because he wouldn't unfreeze me. It is crazy to find that you are letting staff members do harsh punishments on players who are just trying to have a good time.

This player has a history of this behavior and has been here a long time while priorly in the staff team and should know 100% that they SHOULD NOT be acting or behaving the way that they are.
 

This player was brought into the sit and then instantly shot the other player. They reported of which they were frozen, and then the other player was brought back. At that, Brisky continued to scream about being frozen and demanding. to be Unfrozen and was ignored. The player who was shot was informed that Brisky was most likely being banned and then Brisky continued to scream, making it impossible to speak with the person who was shot. Thus, they were gagged so i could speak with them. I asked if the player who was shot wanted a punishment, and they said and quoted "I dont really care". Thus, I intended to unfreeze and ungag the player and return them, but upon the player being ungagged, they continued to be toxic towards both parties and show no remorse towards their prior actions or behavior. Thus, due to their behavior warnings and bans, they were then banned and only in the end was there anything mentioned that they were friends after punishment was dealt.

This player showed no issue on regards of their actions and was banned for these rule breaks

They are experience and know exactly what they did wrong and infact admitted this all during a conversation that took place after this sit.

(Also to add on this situation apparently Brisky was in General VC venting / complaining about this and said the Hard R but this was not confirmed as I have them blocked and muted)

So Sperm said to the staff member that it was all cool and to let it go, he never said that he didn't care so that is false, also claiming I said the Hard r really shows how you conduct yourself as a staff member. You clearly did way too harsh of a punishment, and a warn would have been fine for me abusing the sit request, because it isn't rdm when we both consent to it. I was just trying to have fun and I have to deal with harsh punishments with someone who freaked out when i killed my friend in the sit.  Plus why have a staff member with a description of boy kisser.

Hey just giving my side, I was the one that brisky called the sit on. Me and her were just goofing around and I never said I didn't care all I said was it is all cool, we were just playing. Brisky called the sit on me because I killed her and we were just goofing around and I got teleported and she blasted me and I thought it was funny. The staff member froze brisky after killing me and was freaking out saying yea she is getting banned, and didn't let her even speak or hear her out. He then later asked it is up to me on what I want to happen and I said just let it go and he just proceeded to ban her.  We were just trying to have fun and we shouldn't allow staff members to give out these harsh punishments over something this silly.

This is my opinion as a previous staff member/longtime community member.

Usually when someone calls a sit whether or not its false/on a friend etc you sort that out via asking questions if its a waste of your time its a free sit for your sit count which all the higher ups love and you can go on your way playing the game.

Generally also you should give the option to allow the caller of the sit to deal with the punishment imo as they were the one affected by the sit called of course within reason(thats more of a personal thing but I generally believe its great to practice.)

I agree with this as i personally hold my sits like this on a normal instance but this instance was far from any normal instance of a sit.

As the person who called the sit was blatantly in the wrong and was the one receiving a punishment for their behavior

But other then that i 100% agree with this statement

Overall I'm gonna be +1 for changing it to a warn and even that is going to be stretching it but that's mostly because of the RDM in a sit and the false sit call, as for the "Toxicity" part of this unless I see proof of that, it needs to be out of the equation as the only thing stated here is that she may or may not have said the hard r which you wouldn't have heard. Being rude in a sit doesn't equal toxic (or warrant a ban for it)

 

As for a punishment to Sharky...+1 for a talking to. While the ban imo was a bit much you did make false sits as well as RDM in one. I think it goes without saying you shouldn't be doing this, but i do agree with Ember when he says (essentially) it aint that big a deal

+1 for unban, and a warn added for RDM during sit.

 

Purely due to the fact this case is between 2 consenting players. And because the rules broken in this case have not affected any other player in such a way to warrant a ban in my opinion.

 

A Higher Up can correct me if they don’t agree with me. But if this was a Joke I’d probably be all for it after knowing that it’s green lit by both players. And I don’t believe that I’ve volunteered to moderate the actual fun had by players on the server.

 

 Amongst these jokes I don’t think RDM in a sit is something we should be encouraging hence why I think a warn is appropriate, And if staff members are annoyed at spammed sits, make it a verbal first?
 

I condemn sharky’s actions so I’m +1  for him to be spoken too about this

After speaking with 2 Administrators on regards of this punishment
(This decision was meant to be done at exactly 1:33AM EST after i got more info regarding this but nobody was around]

The lowest I am willing to drop this ban on regards of this would be a 1 Day ban as spoken with two Administrators they both have agreed this is a reasonable response

If this is agreed then it will be reduced as soon as possible.
