I was banned for failrp for raiding a building with a building sign on it.

Why should you be unwarned/unbanned?

I honestly thought you were allowed to raid/kill/cuff + fine someone in a base even with a building sign on it

Hello. I am not new to this server in any way, but I am new to playing cop. I recently came back and started playing on my friends cc that is a cop. I really thought that you were allowed to raid a building that has a building sign just for their bounty (be it the bounty hunter or a cop). I have been killed multiple times by bounty hunters with a building sign on other bases that I owned and made sits about it and the people never got punished for it, yet I do it a single time and I get banned off the server. I truly believe that it should be a verbal or a warn at most but not a ban.

You were staff this year, unlike what you tried to imply in the sit where you made it sound like you were staff years ago

 

You call sits on bases etc constantly. I informed the staff of that much

 

I highly doubt you are unfamiliar with the rules and I doubt you couldn't check before raiding a base with a clear building sign. Reference for the signage (the door was closed and locked aswell as props and fading doors being built already)

 

Directly after I sent this pm edoux decided to send the message in the next screenshot. This only made the sit longer and made edoux make up a lie later on in the sit about there being no building sign.

 

Why would there be a specific rule for something so trivial as don't raid someone who is building?

 

The back of this house that has grow zones was also empty and i had an invisble prop so people could see there was nothing growing.

I 100% agree with it being a ban considering edoux decided to lie about the building sign, tried to make it sound like he was staff forever ago (in reality less than half a year ago) to a new staff member, killed himself in the sit to try to leave although he made it go on longer, although inadvertently.

This is a big gray zone, and I feel that staff will have differing opinions.  If you are building you shouldn't be RPing (having ents, farming, loot boxes, etc...), but having a bounty, are you still within RP, could that be seen as exploiting to avoid arrest, or is it a pause to your bounty?  If you have a bounty, you should be fair game, key word being "should".  Much like in spawn, you can /wanted someone if they have a bounty. Spawn does not protect them wholly.  

 

To counter the above comment, this is a rule within the cop job:

• Cops require a valid warrant in order to raid a base. Raiding a base without a warrant is FailRP unless the door is open and they have committed a crime

Seems like he did commit a crime, hence the bounty.  Sana is still new and 'may' have made the wrong decision here, but again, i dont feel like this is black and white.  

 

On another note... I have seen so many players recently with a building sign and ents up.  You know what their punishment is?  Staff telling them to take their building sign down.  I have never seen someone punished for failbasing (such as propblocking a door w/no keypad).  Staff should be able to confirm that this is rarely punished.  So a baser breaks the rules and nothing happens, but a cop gets someone with a bounty and they get punished?

Okay so a few things going on here. First of all I'd like to say that you were not cooperating at all especially near the end when you just decided to killbind and I'm like trying to take the time to avoid you guys punishment but you clearly shown no remorse and tried to argue you were right even tho you were wrong. So I'm highly disappointed in your behavior.

Now regarding your sit Edoux all the evidences are as clear as water to me. The ban could've been avoided but you digged the hole deeper than it had to be.

And considering you've been on the server for a while (and also probably had to deal with similar sits as a staff) You should've known better.

you can get bounty from being hacked aswell or someone setting bounty but it really just doesnt matter if someone has a bounty from hours ago u cant raid

As far as I'm aware of, building signs pretty much void bounties, for both police and bounty hunters.

Yeah, it's a massive pain in the ass when you get a bounty which sends you after someone with a building sign, but its something that happens and not much can be done about it.

Just "by the word" with the rules. RP situations are void if a Building Sign is up.
