The situation is absolutely my fault, in the days prior to my ban I saw people talking about effects_reload in OOC saying that it was some kind of exploit and it could get you banned. On the day that I got banned, people were talking about zennon and rontu, mentioning how rontu was recently banned for breaking into sitland as it counted as exploiting, how zennon was a hacker, etc. I believe after that someone asked how they could get cool pets or items, so I said in OOC 'Put effects_reload in console'. Because of my actions, haroldXD and JaMeSpLaYs (who was just demoted from mod) got banned for 6 months, and I probably made his day in particular even worse. It's terrible that I wasted their time, and the staff's time (as they had to unban them) by posting about the command. I thought effects_reload was a troll command, like "quit smoking" where it could crash your game or "unbindall" where it would permanently mess with your keybindings, not something that could actually get you banned for 6 months by the anticheat, I have never encountered something like that on any server. When it did happen, AflictoGaming brought me into a sit and said to not do that, to never post it again and to report anyone talking about the command, and I agreed to. I think for the next hour or so after that sit I was digging up treasure chests as a treasure hunter when I decided to get off for the day. I got banned while offline and didn't get to explain myself. I understand I broke the rules, specifically "DO NOT be a dick, we are all here to have fun and play the game" and "DO NOT incite other players to break the rules" but by no means was it intentional. I have never tried to intentionally break the rules of the server, my only infractions are things like me accidentally breaking NLR or crossfire that counts as RDM and a voteban which a friend did on me for votebanning our other friend as a joke. This is a black mark on my record, extremely embarrassing and I will never repeat anything like it again. I enjoy playing tits and I don't want to jeopardize that. Who warned/banned you? Console How long were you warned or banned for? 1 week. Sorry, I don't have screenshots or videos of what happened because I was offline at the time the ban was placed. AflictoGaming Posted October 3, 2023 Share Posted October 3, 2023 When I brought you to that sit you told me that you didn’t know what it was this ban appeal contradicts what you told me. So even if you didn’t know it would get someone banned from doing it you thought it would mess with their stuff. Look trolling is fine as long as it’s not hurting others in the process but to me at this point it seems like you took it to far so sadly I have to be -1 for unban. I ask that you wait out your ban and come back with a better mindset. Mistakes happen so let’s try to not do it again in the future.
