Sure, it may have been more entertaining and fun to kill them, but that overly complicates the sit. I'm sure you know this now, but when two players break rules on each other, it really makes it harder for the sit to be solved, and usually warrants punishments on both sides. I believe you really had two correct options. Option one would be to make the sit and get them punished. Option two would have been to either ignore the players and not rdm them back or log off.
