I was banned for a week for MRDM according to Scythekill he didn't even give me a good chance to explain myself/have a conversation. I killed one person three times the first time it happened was because he prop blocked my gun store and then I saw him doing it to the other peoples gun stores so I tried to stop him, then the second time after I fixed my store he did it again and I killed him. After that I killed him because I warned him and then he decided to warn me and he hit me so I killed him. The staff member saw the last situation in person but didn't even give it the time of day to see if it was a warn he said it was mrdm because I killed him 3 times even though it's the same player and one of the times was justified. He also got upset because he saw I had many kills mind you I was playing as chucky, and I had been killing hobo's pickles stalkers etc. and cops when then would chase me down and you can confirm the cop part with xiers (another staff member). I also believe the banning staff member might have a friendship with the person which might have caused his explosion of emotions/punishment. Why should you be unwarned/unbanned? I have been playing this server for a little while now and I enjoy it I haven't played gmod in many years and I've found myself playing on my free time. As far as I know I have no priors on the server and the punishment doesn't seem justified im not a toxic player in the community and I just want to keep playing but this ban is longer than I've even been playing on here so it wouldn't make sense for me to continue to play otherwise. I've been playing this server for a little bit now and I've hardly ever gotten a staff response before like yesterday so that was my thinking behind it obviously, I'm wrong but... Scythekill Posted August 29, 2022 Share Posted August 29, 2022 you said it yourself you killed someone 3 different times that is considered MRDM you don't have to kill different people for it to be considered MRDM, i did not punish you for killing anyone else besides the person you killed 3 times because i realized that you were chucky and i said "my bad" in the sit. I have never seen the victim before i am not associated with him whatsoever Yes, I understand I killed someone 3 times but like I said in the sit only two of those deaths were rdm if you're using server rule definition and you were being sarcastic when I told you how I got so many kills I said I haven't gotten any complaints because beyond the two rdms I had been following the server rules. I'm not trying to argue, you just didn't give me the time of day that's why it seemed like you took it personal I just want to get back on the server. toosii Posted August 29, 2022 Share Posted August 29, 2022 +1 for ban reduction I mean if what this guy is saying is true, I don't think a week ban is necessary. This is his first ban, he only has 15 hours played on server. In the future if somebody propblocks your base or someone else's, just call a sit & wait for staff to handle it - try not to take matters into your own hands or something like this can happen. As staff our job is education over punishment, this is a newer player with no previous punishment history so I think it would be fair to give a less severe punishment. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But yeah I'm also +1 for reduction. As Toosii said don't kill people for that shit. Make a sit and they themselves might be banned for it.
