"immediate slam" does not mean "definitive unappealable permaban."  He can certainly appeal the ban, and it can certainly be accepted. The rule does not need to be changed, as it just states a severe punishment will be given, with some disgression left to the smod+ team, both at the time of the ban, and in deciding on any appeals. If they decide that he should be unbanned, there is no reason that it should not happen, and no reason for the rule to be changed because of it. Don't feel a need to post my opinion at this time, just commenting to post that this ban is appealable, and not every infringement on the discord rules implies an unforgivable permaban.

I think what you did was downright silly and you deserve the punishment you received, however I believe you have served enough of your ban to have learned a lesson. You are a long time member of the community like myself, we joined around the same time iirc. We know more about how this community operates than most players, therefore I would expect you to be a positive example for the newer members, not doing things that you know would get you into trouble just for the memes.
