Tye's Ban Appeal

It is an attempt to be intimidating. it wasn't just to inform someone of a rank. He yelled "You broke NLR stop Im a MOD" That is showing your staff rank to attempt to stop a player from doing something.

It was not said in an explanatory tone. It was yelled while I was killing you. And you were not calmly asking me to stop. You were yelling right back. Please stop trying to make yourself look good my guy. Tell the truth.

I never once yelled my guy, there are 2 people in the rooms right next to me trying to sleep and its 4am.... I told you sternly, did not yell, did not have any agression. 

 

Also you werent the one killing it was the king, once again.

I was the one who killed you when you yelled about it being NLR. I want to keep playing, I let my temper get the best of me.

Dude you broke the rules man, you committed a bannable offense, and you were extremely disrespectful, dunno what else you want me to say. Had you just paced yourself and you know, not RDM'd me, you would have never been banned, I would have explained the situation, apologized, explain that the guy i had killed was a different hacker, returned you, dealt with the king, and then return him, and you could be chilling on the server doing whatever you were doing before you decided to walk into the kingdom and start blasting, which also an admin can also check if you were even in a party at the time, because thats the only way you can assist in an RP scenario, and if you were in a party, they can also check if you announced in /y that you were assisting your party member, because i certainly didnt hear a word from you until i brought you into the sit.

 

I did not know about this party thing. I asked if you had to call for raids earlier in OOC and I got made fun of by a staff member for it. The whole situation was handled wrongly. I shouldn't have been in a sit in the first place. Once You were done with me you should've returned me at that point in time instead of moving on to a different person.

Actually you should have been brought to a sit, just for a different reason, which I wasnt thinking about at the moment, I was more focused on the fact that i just killed the king and a hacker then suddenly the king and a hacker return to the scene. So again had you not been the way you were the situation would have instead been a verbal warning and some education on the rules.

I was already pissed off with actions from earlier and it being as early as it is I have a short temper. I did not like being accused of breaking a rule with the "Im a mod" thing, you may not have meant to make it sound like you are powerplaying, but to my friend and to myself it sounded like you were pulling your staff rank to attempt to save yourself/scare us. It all set me off. If I were pulled properly instead of being told "You're breaking NLR IM A MOD" I would've acted completely different.

Ok, well the ban will most likely be staying unless higher ups have a different opinion, sorry man, maybe take the time off to work on that temper a bit, or atleast in the future if you are hecka pissed off, type so that things can come off as neutral and not disrespectful, and maybe refrain from shooting somebody out of anger.

Last thing im going to leave here is a tip. Don't tell a member your staff rank when telling them a rule or to stop doing something in an RP scenario . It comes off as since I am staff I have the power to get you in trouble and you must listen to me. To you it may not seem that way but I have seen it come off the negative way, way too many times. Bring them to a Sit then explain it before saying anything.

YOU made the choice to kill a staff member in a sit. He checked logs, realized he was wrong, and brought the right person. You were apparently insanely disrespectful, and decided to kill him in the sit. You come here and try to appeal the ban, and flip on anyone that says that YOU'RE in the wrong. Sorry my guy, you're in the wrong here. With the way you handled the situation AND this appeal, I would honestly be down for an extension of your punishment. I don't care how you try to justify it, you fucked up. And you're only making it worse for yourself with the way you're handling this appeal.

 

I know the staff are going to group up on this type of shit. I couldn't give a fuck how my appeal goes. I want to get it through your heads that make sure u have the right guy before you do something. I ADMITTED to my wrongs, admit to your own. A key characteristic trait a staff member has to have is empathy, the ability to put themselves in a members shoes during a situation. All that happens when a staff rank is brought into roleplay as it is seen as a threat. I need yall to understand it so you don't turn away any players with that kind of attitude instead of attacking the playerbase. I have seen today alone so much shit coming from the staff. All I've been hearing from others is how shit the staff team is. I don't care how my ban appeal goes at this point I am trying to help you guys out but you refuse to see it.

Why didn’t you just ask him to return you? You could have possibly been needed in the sit but I guess we will never find out. I have no idea what would give you the idea to interrupt a sit in a disrespectful manner, all because you where impatient.

Listen bro, I understand your anger and rage for being innocent and getting treated like your the bad guy. HOWEVER, that doesn't allow you to sling lead at blue while he is trying to correct the situation. You could argue that he made a small mistake of not returning you immediately but killing him in a sit doesn't really solve the problem and really just escalates the situation.
