Banned Without Explanation

Why were you warned/banned?: As Carelos put it in the ban, I "Just came to minge | RDA |"

 

Why should you be unwarned/unbanned? : I was playing as a SWAT Medic, where I had made a police checkpoint in front of the PD. This checkpoint stated that, "If you have a gun out you are KOS!" 

 

This checkpoint was highly visible and clear, and the man I arrested was in clear violation of this checkpoint by having his shotgun in clear view while he was within the checkpoint. I was confused when I was jailed by Carelos, and, without any explanation as to what I did wrong, he banned me for 24 hours for "Minging" and "RDA," leaving me confused about what I had done, why it was wrong, and what to do better in the future. Without knowing what it is I did wrong- if I did anything wrong- this should have been explained to me before any bans were taken, which is why I believe I should be unbanned.

 

I had even asked Carelos, "He violated the checkpoint, so I arrested him. Why am I in trouble?", but Carelos ignored my question and banned me without further notice. 

 

So far, this server seems like it's of higher class than most DarkRP servers, so I would be very disappointed if a mixture of misunderstanding and the intolerance of a staff member would ruin this for me, and likely many others with similar issues. I highly suggest that the staff be told to try to teach new players what is wrong instead of banning them without informing them what is wrong, which leaves the player upset, confused, and unlikely to come back.

I was currently in a discord call with carelos and staffing at the time this happened. You were doing check points even though squank told you to remove him and If I recall correctly you were killing people for avoiding weapon checks.

Squank told me, using his presidential authority, to remove them, which I did. I put them back up when he was no longer president. I also never killed anyone for avoiding a weapon check.

Obviously if Carlos did not communicate to you during the sit what you did wrong that is an issue that we will handle. However, KOS signs are not allowed and also if a staff asked you to remove the checkpoint Because it is causing more harm than good to the rest of the server and you did not remove it that could possibly be why you were banned. I will talk to Carlos about taking his time and sits and being a little more communicative.

I will ask for this to be accepted and give you another chance. The reason I banned you is because you had multiple sits on your while I was on and I wasn’t on for long. And laws never showed they weapons were illegal so that would be counted as basically rdm or rda since they technically did not do anything wrong. And the they have as no more then 3 seconds to take out or put away their weapons.

The sit in which I was banned was the only sit I had against me on that server thus far- no other sits had been had against me and I had no previous punishment. The sign had said that it was KOS to have a weapon out, regardless of whether it was a legal weapon or not. If the sign was invalid, I would have removed it if told to do so- but I had only been asked to remove it by a player who was RPing- using their power as mayor. No staff had ordered me to remove the checkpoint before I was banned.
