I think having a raider and a thief pointless, they both do the same thing, like I said I think batman could be like a cop but not the same, maybe if he sees a crime then he can beat the guy up but not using guns, and Joker can be like all the other criminals but maybe he gets to RDM a cop every 10 minutes. Why? Because he's a Psyco path. So not exactly the same, they should be different and I think it would inhance the rp. Well of course it's relatively pointless. The whole point is to have different loadouts. The thief and the raider are under the crime faction. To tell you the truth, there was supposed to be a Vigilante Faction except I didn't have the best rule set thought out. Thinking about it though popped some ideas into my head so I will see what I can do. "Superheros" probably won't make it. But Batman isn't really a "superhero" just a rich bitch

  11. I honestly feel like a broken record. Go look around on the forums for more detailed answers. 1) No. "Jobs" don't give you special "rules" anymore. It's just a different version of the class with a different loadout. The only one that actually changes how you do things is probably the mayor. So leveling up in reality, gives you a different loadout. Because in reality, when we had 70+ jobs on dowtown 50% of the jobs just had the same rule set. A thief can mug, raid, ect. A raider can mug, raid, ect. An infiltrator can raid mug ect. An Encalve and raid, mug, ect. See what I am getting at? So they are basically in one category to provide different loadouts. 2) Coming on this reset to appeal to the people who need a box that shoots out like $50 every 60 seconds 3) No. Go read up on VIP perks in the main changelog 4) Download the materials 5) Would be great to know whats wrong with it. 6) No 7) Being done this reset since people can't wait 2 seconds to switch

Well, a lot of people seem to say "It's in beta, I will wait until it gets polished" What is wrong that makes you guys think its "beta" just because I want to add more content doesn't make it a "beta". Just because I am planning to fix bugs and help you guys by giving you back your money doesn't mean it's "beta". I agree that the update may not have everything you're looking for right now..but if that is the case, what ARE you looking for? Just because as of right now you can't build a silly money printer doesn't mean it's "unfinished". It was fully intended to leave it out until I thought of a better system, although I may just add something like that back. Also, a lot of people are saying "There is no good way to make money right now, I am out until there is". Just because 60 million in Downtown was a lot does not mean 100k - 200k in this update is not. Plus, Blake got like 60k from selling opium yesterday, my ass there is not a "good way" to make money. While the update was "rushed" to an extent because of my absolute overload of school work, I think the general viewpoint is there in the server. The people saying they don't like it and they want to wait until it's "polished" is kinda silly. Most of the major issues have been fixed plus any money you make will just be added onto what you're getting back if the reason you're not playing is because of the lacking of the money you have. I don't want to say this but I will say this anyways. I told you guys before, this update will either make or break us. It's obvious it has broken us to a massive extent since we maxed at like what...15 people today? Don't think I am oblivious to the fact that no one wants to play on a server that they worked so hard on only to get their money taken away, yet I don't think that would cause 60% of the server in general to just stop playing. If you don't like something, please voice yourself. Everyone is saying "I am leaving, this update sucks". What in the heck do you want me to do with that? You want me to just "unsuck it"? I mean, given the people who ARE saying that are the kids this update is NOT trying to appeal to and I am glad they are getting the point. But a few of you are leaving without word. I am not telling you all to "play" on the server but the one fact you guys do not understand is: If people do not play on the server, people will not join the server. People don't join an empty server which means population goes down which means ranking goes down, ect. I would love to appeal to everyone that does love a little more serious RP but it's hard when people just say "it sucks, bye bye". Plus it's also hard to get server work done when you're beyond the definition of overloaded with everything else.

  16. I think I answered this already in another thread partially but here is what happened. This update introduced the fact that when you die, you drop all of your money + pocketed entities. This is to install the fear of death + it gives you a reason to travel the map and to manage your money. The thing that happend, was that people were loading into the server in a "frozen" state while they were still connecting. People learned of the money feature and killed EVERYONE. People lost millions and millions and millions. It got even worse when people got in cars and started running over everyone. People got bricks and other weapons that caused no feed in the logs and killed everything loading into the server. There was no way to fix that. It was relatively inevitable and even with the right precautions, people STILL wouldn't use the ATM. For what ever reason, I don't know. But resetting money was something I wanted to do before the reset. Prices on guns were changing a lot, there were new cars, new things to buy, ect. People having 30+ mil at level 1 just shot a red flag up in my head. Yet, I did say there was going to be no money reset. You're right I did say that. Unfortunately at the very last second when the update launched, it had to be done. If it wasn't, then everyone who lost money would be screaming, people who DCed with millions would be millionaires, people were RDMing constantly because they knew people around them had a bunch of money on them. I asked 2 head admins and one moderator and they said I had to do it. They said it was definitely worth it to prevent a raging playerbase. Now...I do have a database backup of that day. I am not stupid to not make backups. Maybe we can settle on some sort of middle ground to help everyone out. Since I did promise, it was not going to happen. Balancing of all money / custom class / buying VIP will happen within a week or so. I want to play on the server a lot and get some general information on what needs to be buffed and ect. So not all is lost. It's not going to take 3x the time than it normally did to reach your goals. It should be relatively the same time. Before this update, money was inflated, a lot. Like a lot a lot. Long ago, people were maxing at 2 million. 48 hours ago, people had as much as 60 million from around a week or less of playing. I vividly remember McLovins saying "I can make 15 - 20 mil in a day if I tried to". It was just so easy to get a large sum of money. In hindsight, it's not necessarily a bad thing but it really makes everything so uneven. Gun's were $2000 while other guns were 750000 and there was no real purpose to having a lot of money other than to buy cars. Meth is still in the game btw, you just have to craft the entities to spawn everything in. Maybe thursday I can think of a good plan to give everyone a fraction of their money back based upon the current game economy. Giving people back their 60 mil is not going to work but in theory, if someone had 60 mil (which I considered a lot) maybe the new max is a 1:30 ratio so 2 million. Again don't think of 2 million as nothing, prices and everything WILL be updated.
