Why were you banned?: And I quote "ddos threath/jokes/ i'm sorry man you should have know better" that was the exact quote letter for letter. 

Why should you be unbanned?: Lets start from the beginning. Troughout my time playing on the server (2 years) I had always wanted to be staff. The reason for this is obviously I wanted to help all players and make their lives better since I knew some calls didn't get responded too. I decided to change this and apply for moderator. I got the job and was very excited for my new position. After training I spent all day and all night doing sits. I musta gone through 20-30 before the server started lagging. Once the server was lagging I got a message from my good friend DevTheBeast. he said "Youre ddossing the server. "stop it" "now" " as a joke, I laughed. I decided to one up him and post a fake message in chat that was "sent" from dev but it wasn't really sent it was just a joke. "Dev: I'm ddossing the server rn, don't tell nobody" was the thing I posted in ooc. Right after in the same 30 seconds I typed "Guys that message was fake as fuck it was a joke". After posting this we went on with our day till a user name Squanch brought it into the discord. I then defended myself for 2 hours straight from people saying I should be perma banned for "threating" the server not once was it a threat I still to this day don't see how it's a threat at all it is very clearly a joke and very clearly not ME specifically ME threatening the server. My point being in all of this is it was never a threat nor was it even close to a threat it was a JOKE about DEVTHEBEAST with the SUBJECT of the JOKE being ddossing. After that incident I was given a verbal warning and had to sit through another training session. I said okay and learned my lesson of making any type of joke about ddossing and would never do it again. The topic died down and we went on with our night. This morning 7/17/18 a user name Isaac The Butcher was harassing me and attempting to get me banned for this even though I was already interally punished. I'm almost certain this was because he found out I was black and was doing this just to be racist because it only started when I revealed my skin color. Besides this nobody brought up this topic and it was dead. I made a mistake yes but I don't think my moderator rank should suffer as a result of a joke I made when it was very clearly a benefit I was on staff considering how quickly I was getting through sits. I think I should be unbanned and not have any thing affect my rank because if you look at my track record of warns/bans they're pretty much non exsistant. I don't break rules ever. Excluding my last warn the warns before that were in 2016 none in 2017. Anyone who knows me knows I'm not a rule breaker and knows I would never threaten the server or harm the server.  I think the first punishment was enough of a warning to shake me into never doing anything like that joke again. But to be fair finally I would like to reveal the rule that I "broke" "If DDoS threat, slap them with a perma cause they dumb lol"  Once again it states if threats to the server are made ban them. I never made a threat.

Okay I’m reading this and like

You don’t see what you did was wrong you jokes

About ddos the sever with a other user as staff you should have enforced the rules onto that. Dev and said hey man don’t joke like that

 

But instead you didn’t and went along with that 

 

It’s really frustrating how you don’t understand how what you did was not aloud and no staff should joke like that.

 

When you applied for staff did you not say that you will obey the rules and enforce them when needed

 

me personally I think it was a right call to demote you. Because 1. Your staff you should not have. Made

Jokes about that 

 

2. In all you jus are worried about your rank and not seeing what you did and not understanding what you broke

 

 

on the ban part we all discussed that and gave you the 2 week ban because of equality if a user goes and say I’m ddos the sever we bring him and then ban for threatening 

 

That’s where the ban comes in for you because you made a joke about it and went along with the joke.

I'm actually pretty pissed off you are being punished for one incident twice. If I warned someone, and then brought them the next day and banned them for the same thing, I would be reported in a heartbeat. That's fucking bullshit. Everyone crying "it's not fair or equal he doesn't get punished the same because he's a mod", stop talking if you don't understand what's actually going on in the background. The person I banned made direct claim that they were using a lag switch and causing the lag, anand then shortly after disconnected. when they disconnected the lag actually did stop. So I banned him. This incident is totally different as you can easily tell its a joke. The user claiming direct responsibility before disconnecting, and coincidentally the lag stopped right after he left, SHOULD be punished different as its a different sort of statement with no way for us to verify its validity as a "joke". it is NOT equal circumstances, nor should it be.

 

That being said, although the double jeopardy is NOT cool at all, if you have been here 2+ years you really should know better than to put yourself in this situation to begin with. I can settle for a demotion. But banning bigg for the sake of "equality" is incorrect and ridiculous. fucking overkill.

 

My vote is for an immedimmediate unban of bigg, without reinstatement to staff, but also not permanently barred from applying for staff. Hopefully someone sees my reasoning and agrees.
