I'll explain the scenario before I focused on the "Why should I be unbanned". I'm not going to argue that I am in in the right and I didn't do anything wrong. 

 

Scenario: There is private property on the beach (just a fishing house) belonging to Red Grass (I believe). Red grass was party members with Ogihara and another member of the party. I was unaware that Ogihara was in a party with Red Grass. That doesn't make me any less guilty, I just simply didn't know that it was Ogiharas "property" as well. On the property, there are no KOS / Loitering signs. When I ran up on the property, I was sitting there for a few seconds next to Ogihara and his party member.

 

I pulled out my fake cuffs (From my CC on another CC, it can't cuff). Ogihara killed me. No fault there. So I went back there and got killed. At this point, I figured it was just RDM. I didn't know he was in a party with Red Grass, once again, my fault for not looking. So I did it approximately several more times. I wasn't warned via the new warn or advert. Ogihara stated he warned me verbally. I never heard that, if I did - I would have not did what I did. It should be noted that Ogihara's party member actually let me be up on the property and didn't kill me. Only Ogihara killed me. I never intended to "raid". Yes, the definition is trespassing on someones property. I never had any tools out or actually shot any of them unless he shot at me. I didn't think Ogihara was raiding Red Grass, because he never had any tools out. He was just standing there. So I thought it was just plain RDM.

 

If I knew because of these events, I would have gotten banned (or some form of punishment) I wouldn't have done it. It doesn't justify my actions on why I did it. I commited Mass NLR and I am willing to take whatever punishment (Gennki) saw fit. The only point that I am arguing is that it shouldn't be a 7 day ban. 7 day bans is the maximum length of time to which someone can be banned for this offense. If I was being a dick and actually killing him, breaking into the property, then I'd agree with it. I didn't do anything to harm him or his party members though. I wasn't an ass in the sit and explained my side of the story. The only thing that I would like to say is that a 7 day ban should be reserved for players who are legitimately being harmful. I wasn't doing anything harmful the entire time besides just being on the property. 

 

The sit lasted for an hour. Gennki called Grape in as Gennki was just waking up. I believe that my actions were stupid and did in fact, violate the rules. Was it intended? No. Was I being harmful the entire time? No. For the most part, I believe mods and users just attempt to get people ban for the maximum amount of time, simply because they can. The staff makes the ultimate decision in their case and they can. I just feel 7 days for something that wasn't harmful at all is a little too long.

If the owner of the property made no effort to block others from their base (fences, signs,  etc) at a public fish farming area then I don't see why returning after you were killed is an issue. Did you even go inside their base or were you just standing around on the beach where people fish? 

 

An example where this ban would be appropriate would be: you attempted to raid them or had in character beef with one of the gang members and you got killed and kept coming back several times due to you failing a raid or personal harassment. I don't see how hanging around at a public fishing area is cause for a 7 day ban of a experienced player.

 

This sounds like a case of someone taking advantage of staff to punish you for basically nothing. 

 

I would like to hear a response from either banning staff or a member of Red Grass with their evidence of you mass NLRing for your own benefit or evidence of them losing something due to your actions.

 

I also want to add that screaming "7 DAY BAN 7DAYZ" during a sit does not determine how long of a ban is due, if at all. Ban times are 110% at the discretion of the moderator and their higher-ups...........

A player with Constant banter to a staff member while they are trying to resolve their issue should result in a 6 hour - 3 day ban immediately

• Ex: Player will not let staff member solve the sit they called for because the player keeps calling them any derogatory term / talking over then 6 hour - 3 day ban depending on player attitude

The base was a box. The base wasn't open, it had a fading door and keypad somewhere (that I didn't see). The base was not meant for public use and only a few people had access to it. I did step on their props (aka, their property, territory, etc) which consisted of a bridge to their box base. Their base had a small walkway around the box. I was initially killed on the walkway, came back multiple times after that on their property. I never broke into their base - but I was on their property. (Props). 

 

Raiding = Trespassing on someones property, even if you have no intent of doing harm. (Not the word for word rule).

 

So, according to the MOTD I raided them several times.

 

What I believe the definition should be: Trespassing on someones property with the intent of depriving them of property or harming their physical well being. 

 

So, going by the official rules, I raided them. I never caused harm to them or their property. Regardless of that, the rule says I raided - so I did raid them.

 

Ogihara recorded the entire event and (apparently) called for a sit at some point afterwards I commited Mass NLR. I was afk for 20-30 minutes give or take, came back to the base and then actually broke into the property. (My definition of raiding). After I killed Ogihara, he called the sit for Mass NLR - an event which happened approximately 30 minutes to an hour ago.

How is it a "public spot" if they literally shoot you down over and over again every single time you come back?

 

You want to be unbanned and your argument is that you weren't "raiding," you were just returning and trespassing on property that you had previously died on multiple times and kept going back despite the fact that you knew you shouldn't because 

• you kept getting shot down
  
• the MOTD literally says don't go back
  
• you quote the MOTD statue showing exactly where you went wrong and say it was okay because the MOTD shouldn't say that
  

At this time I will have to deny this appeal.
