This has been up for too long.

Respecteds have Respected for a reason, that's because we recognize them as trusted members of the community. With no authority like a staff member would have, they are allowed to enforce rules when necessary (no staff online or staff too busy to respond).

 

He should have confronted the user about the DDoS situation instead of skipping straight to a ban.

As it turns out, for the NLR situation he was not breaking NLR at all so he should not have banned. I will not blame him because North was making a dumb argument, but he was accidentally correct. (The best kind of correct.)

 

Piklas, since I have not seen any misconduct of your Respected powers before this I will give you no more than a warning this time. If you are not careful in using your Respected powers for good we may have to bop you on the nose with a newspaper take them away from you. Talk to users before trying to kick or ban them.
