I have had this done to me before and everyone has been ok with it. i think he was just mad that i had killed him and decided to ban me to let off some steam. i know that i dont have any hard evidence but i believe i am in the right and should be unbanned. Tass Posted January 4, 2018 Share Posted January 4, 2018 You can't kill kidnappers for kidnapping. It is AOS and I understand it is AOS. There can also be no law about killing kidnappers. From what i remember you can't kill any kidnappers if you are not in their party, while cops can ARREST the kidnappers. And from what i believe you said is that since you are a SWAT Sniper you were allowed to shoot to kill, basically making any law for you KOS. I didn't ban to "let off some steam", I banned because it isn't right for you to be able to KOS kidnappers just because you think you can. As well as in this sit you didn't even listen to anything I said. Until the end which you started to lighten up a little. Just another quick edit to round off the night. Might i say that in MOTD it says its a "serious" fine... A non lethal pistol makes you really slow which most of the time you can run up and cuff them to then stop it. As far as im concerned im pretty sure ypu can kos a kidnapper if you are unable to attempt an arrest the thing is he could have walked down and arrested me or told someone to, its like stealing... Try to non violently steal first and if not then go violent. Try to arrest first but if you put yourself ontop of the roof to purposely shoot people who breaking the law like i said before, i has happened to me and many others so i just considered it common place. that was why i killed you. well if you are able to lower my ban let me know. thanks in advanced. sorry for trouble i caused you. Mods have been shooting me down for kidnap at least since I joined the server. Sugar said a few days ago it's valid RP and to resolve your own issues in RP like tell the mayor. While I see you did very well presenting your counter to the appeal, and I of course appreciate your dedication and devotion to stick by what you have been taught to be the proper rules, there are a few serious issues with this ban. As far as im concerned im pretty sure ypu can kos a kidnapper if you are unable to attempt an arrest This is exactly correct, this is something I do, and have been doing today, while you were on even, Tass. It is the conclusion came to from a conversation with an admin due to the same kind of controversy. Your previous understanding of the rules for CP are very good other than not knowing that you can escalate the force used to lethal due to distance or etc making an arrest improbable/impossible. There are Sniper CP classes after all.. The other issue is that this is no longer the rules and that most if not all cp rules no longer apply. If you don't think a CP handled a situation well you can /demote them or contact the Mayor and try to have them fired. If you don't like what the Mayor/whole PD is doing you can revolt after attempting to cause a change in government unsuccessfully. This comes straight from the top. So I'm unbanning the OP. Everyone spread the word. Actually I'm gonna keep the thread open for discussion of the topic in case anyone has any questions, comments, concerns regarding this major change.
