I'm not going to deny what I did I killed several players without a valid RP reason, and that's mass RDM. The rule is clear and I broke it. What I'd ask you to consider is the context. Before it happened, I was being targeted with racist comments in-game. I should have used /report and let staff handle it, but I lost my temper and retaliated the worst possible way. That was my mistake to own, not theirs to answer for. I understand why I was banned and I'll accept a reduced sentence if that's what you decide. Next time I'll report and disconnect instead of reacting. That night the city was in full anarchy mode and there were police everywhere. I wasn't running anything organised no planned attack, no command, I was just moving around town seeing what was happening. An officer picked me up and I got sent to prison. Fine that's the job, that's the RP. I did my time and got out. Coming out of that cell, in character, I'm a terrorist who's just been locked up, so I played it angry. I went over to the police to have it out with them, still in character. That's when I got insulted. And instead of dealing with it properly, I opened fire. I killed the officer who'd been mouthing off at me, and then I killed his colleagues who were standing near him. I'm not going to sit here and pretend that was RP. It wasn't. There was no initiation, no build-up, nothing. And his colleagues had done absolutely nothing to me they were just standing there. I shouldn't have shot him and I definitely shouldn't have shot them. That's mass RDM and I'm not disputing a single kill. What I should have done was stay in character and actually build something out of it, or just log off and cool down. I did neither. What happened in the admin room: I got pulled into the admin room along with a few people I didn't know. I was told I'd messed up and that I was getting banned. No problem with that part it was explained and it was fair. What I do have a problem with is what came after. The admin and one of the police players, who clearly knew each other, started making jokes about terrorism in France. Then it turned into comments about my ethnicity. The admin didn't stop it. He laughed along and joined in. That's the part that stuck with me. It'd be like me cracking September 11th jokes at an American player while he's sitting there getting sanctioned. Whatever I did in game, I don't think that's how someone handling a ban should behave. I'm not asking you to wipe the ban because of that the RDM happened and I earned a punishment for it. I'm asking whether 7 days is right for a one-off, given I've been straight about the whole thing from the start and I'm not trying to argue any of it away. I play with relatively low in game volume and in a vc with several others. had i heard the comment i would have spoken up at the time and told him to stop and maybe even given punish depending on how bad the comment was. from my perspective i pulled you to the sit with the people that had reported you and given the punish after explaining why (and neglecting to check priors ) . I didn't hear or endorse any comment from the reporting party. i am sorry for that oversight comments like that are disturbing and have no place on this server but there's truly nothing i could have done to change that situation in the moment as. As for your claim that i KNEW the reporting party. No i do not know either of the players that reported you at the time beyond me being staff and them making a report. I will try my best to pay more attention in sits for things like this in the future but i sincerely don't think this earns a reduction on the ban. its a -1 for reduction from me. However, your history is still at play here, and its a big one. If you had no priors, I would vote for reduction but the amount of warns and bans, there is no way to justify it. Do you have any evidence supporting your claim about the staff member’s conduct during the sit? If not, then I am -1 for any repercussion for Whiskers. Are there chat logs at all that you could either post or send to me? If this was in fact MRDM, I would usually error on the side of a warn if you had no priors as maybe you forgot to terrorstart, but the fact that you have multiple MRDM bans within the last 30 days as well as you admit to MRDMing I am going to -1 for now until/unless further evidence is provided.
