@Deltarinobased on your draconian interpretation of that provision literally any cover at all for the defender would be classified as a fail base. Are you seriously arguing that a defender having any cover whatsoever is a failbase because “they can shoot my legs and I can’t shoot theirs”? There’s no way you aren’t being purposefully obtuse in order to try to somehow justify your own salty, vindictive actions against me. My build doesn’t rely on any ‘one-way engagement’ exploits and you know that. Your argument is that you would’ve won the 1v1 if you could’ve been able to shoot at my feet? LOL give me a fucking break.

This just looks like hiding behind cover lol. You are able to have shooting windows/gaps behind cover to shoot with, the issue I see here is the base having multiple layers. I can see how that could further mess with the angle of the dangle in a fight, as I said in the report for this situation, being grounded would make it a little more fair.

Blue henchy has always ruled it as against the rules that has set precedent for it

The precedent set is that having cover you can stand behind is against the rules? Big if true: almost every base in the game is guilty of being a failbase.

Yes almost every base is a fail base due to the fact it was a rule that wasn't heavily enforced until i got it enforced because i abused it for a long time in picolas cave , it wasnt until ownu had complained and henchy had to rectify my bases to adhear to the basing standard and effectively "nerf" the dupes i had hence why im known as the "infamous failbaser".

When behind a one way you MUST have full range of damage. Seeing as I can't see this player, and he has something blocking his chest and legs (regardless of how much I can hit his head) is failbase and 100% against the rules. Just because we stopped enforcing it for a while, doesn't mean he's wrong. -1 for appeal/reduction due to failbasing

So I've gotten confirmation by rubik the intentions of the rule, which is as I was explaining - This ultimately comes down to a misinterpretation from both staff and players about the wording of this rule. I would be +1 to clarify more specifically what is and isnt allowed with this ruling.

As long as they (the raiders) are able to shoot you it's fine. That rule is to prevent situations where as a baser, you might make your dupe in a way that you'd be able to shoot their head or feet but they cannot shoot you at all because of the weird angles of the base. They should be able to follow the bullet tracers and hit you from anywhere that you can shoot them. Ducking in and out of cover is fine

In the end the player DID failbase by having multiple layers, however that does not seem to be the focus point for some reason, despite that being an actual thing. I do thing a warn for the multi-layering is fair, so in the end there is no reason to remove the warn, since a warn for failbasing is still applicable. Chefsoda has 2 prior base related offenses of recent, which is why im -1 for warn removal.

Okay, for clarification (in the interest of 'setting precedent' & to clarify it for myself) is a base that uses this type of cover allowed or not? I can concede if multi-layer bases are not allowed full stop, but to further advocate for myself I had gears to come up to the second story and it was useful for defense ONLY, my entities were on the floor.

Using cover is allowed, but you cant have multiple layers/floors to your props of your base. You can base in a room with a stairway/upper area but you need to stay grounded. As long as you are able to be shot back, its fine.

At the time of writing this I have been spoken to about this, the rule simply reads I should be able to shoot every part of you, no loopholing, which was really confusing to me, (Your base must not exploit a head or foot glitch. If you can shoot their head, they must be able to shoot yours. (includes any other body part, don't loophole please)), so please understand where I came from. Regardless, the failbase part is 100% just the multileveling, because of that I believe the warn should stay so that vote doesn't change, but +1 to have this rule clarified to prevent further confusion, as I truly believed this rule to be true for months now
