I had made a comment HOURS prior because aforementioned player said "a trans" so I corrected them, explaining that the way he said it was dehumanizing. Well, he proceeded to rant about how much he hates trans people for the next several or so hours on and off. It probably started around midnight and continued damn near until restart. Even other players kept wondering why, even after EVERYONE in chat was on a completely different subject, he'd come out of the wood works and say something out of pocket about anything LGBTQ, specifically trans people. His most out of pocket thing, was this though: https://imgur.com/a/ou2NAs9 Similar things have been said from other players and they were banned (either from discord or the gmod server). I really don't think it was necessary for this player to continue his hateful shpeel over a very simple comment. The predator thing though? Far over the line. Like said previously, we'd far moved on from any subject relating to that, but he kept going, and going, and going. It got to the point where he was lowkey encouraging another player to be openly hateful and targeting (said player was warned before restart for directing a slur at me) simply because he would not just drop it and move the hell on. I used Tapwater's comment as the initial justification for my ban regarding the pedo comment. Accusing an entire portion of our player base of being pedos, while not directed, is still an accusation. In my opinion a ban is still warranted... Clarification from other administrators has changed my mind. +1 for a 3 day ban adjustment. From a 1 week ban Might need to step away. Additionally, this player apologized, that goes a long way in my book. My justification: I did not issue a warn because of how long/severe his rants were in chat, I warned them in chat about toxicity, being previously warned for player toxicity, and I feel these were pedo accusations. Feel free to disagree with my position.
