I asked mayor if the base was allowed, and while waiting on the sidewalk, Zionx spammed warn advert 3 times while inside the base and started killing cops after the third advert. I had no time to react to said warns, as I didnt even know he was in the base and I had zero clue the warn was directed at me yet he claimed in his sit that the warn was valid because he "was next to me". It is not fair to sit behind a 1 way prop on the street and warn someone for being on the sidewalk while they have zero indication the warn is directed at them, I couldnt see him and didnt even know he was in there. I had no time to react or even realize he was warning me and I feel this is an abuse of warn adverts. As well, I had not began raiding the base and besides having a battering ram out and the rules state "DO NOT warn people for general actions such as walking down the street, looking at them or being near them". We were not in the process of raiding, yet he used warn adverts while no one had a line of sight on him to loophole killing us for being outside his base. Firewarrior2803 Posted February 25 Share Posted February 25 (edited) Hello Bing Chilling, I'll start this off by saying on my screen I walked forward so you could see that I was there before I warned you, and you were standing next to the base. You were talking about raiding a base that I was currently in, while you had a raiding tool equipped in your hands pacing back and forth. I warned you to backup 3 times, and you didn't, so I killed you. In my mind since I was inside of the base I had all rights to defend it due to this rule "In order to defend a base, you must be on the front doors of the base or inside of the base before raid starts". I was inside of the base and you were displaying all intents to raid it. I do not think there is any issue with me not being visible while warning you. In my mind this would be no different than if you were standing in front of my base spamming keys on my door, then I warned you behind the door and killed you when it opened. There is nowhere in the rules where it states I have to be visible to you when warning you, but maybe that's something we can look at changing. Either way I did attempt to let you see me by exiting the base for my first two warns, I'm not sure if you were looking the other way in your video when I did, or I just didn't exit on your screen in general, so I will apologize for that. That's my side of the story and all the context I have available to me, if any other staff have further questions feel free to DM me. Drifti Posted February 25 Author Share Posted February 25 As clearly seen in the video, the only time you can be seen is after you killed johnny bones, you never stepped out before killing him to let anyone know you were there. As well, to say you warned me to backup and I didnt is very misleading as I had literally zero way of seeing you to know you were looking at me. My question is why is there a base in the middle of the street to begin with?? this entire base is not even allowed, I wouldn't mind if it was public base. From the video provide you can clearly see you being warned so it's not rdm. In the future plz do not build a full base in the middle of the street. Crabroll Posted February 27 Share Posted February 27 I dont think the situation was serious enough to formally strike firewarrior but def a talking to. Dont know why a base in the middle of the street was allowed and staff did not get rid of it. Firewarrior tried to RP the situation out the best it could be in that scenario. In that case, I feel no ill intent in his actions. The only issue that was created by having a base in the middle of the street is the fact that a warning in chat is very hard to discern who it is for because you do not exactly know who is inside the prop. Smelly Posted February 27 Share Posted February 27 Yeah building in the street is a no-no but he did warn you, he did try to make himself seen. Whether or not he was visible , the warn was still the best move and I see no wrong there. I am good with a +1 talking to for partaking in someone basing in the street rather than taking action.
