Why were you banned or warned?

I was banned immediately without any admin sit or chance to explain anything that had occurred. IHave2Kids kept going to the front door of my base after i killed him the first time due to my "kos if loitering 5 seconds sign". the reason for the harassment was because he said "im doing it because its fun" and proceeded to keep coming back to the base. After he stopped coming to the door, he would just stand out on the street and proceed to shoot at the windows of the base because i assumed he was bored (he was on the server for 7 hours at this point so i guess it makes sense). He would occasionally RDM myself and my friend included, but that did not really bother me or my irl friend who wanted to play on the server with me for a little bit. I was banned for MRDM and NITRP I believe. When I was TPd into a sit, my game crashed and I was on the way back to join so i could get back to the sit. I had my friend PM the admin that banned me (Littl3 A was streaming his screen on discord so i could see the chat) and there was no response as my friend explained that my game had crashed. I noticed on the screen that the admin was handing out one week bans to quite a few steam IDs. After this happened, IHave2Kids said something along the lines of "Thanks LeGerbs" and the admin responded with "gotchu fam" or some shit.

Why should you be unwarned/unbanned?

I honestly don't care if this server unbans me or not. I did not get a sit or a chance to explain myself as I was banned immediately for ""MRDM"" and LTAP as i attempted to join back after I crashed. The other guy got no reprimand and the admin did not even seem to regard what the other guy did (probably because he didn't fucking feel like hearing what i had to say). It really is a shame because I have already submitted one staff application because I like playing on this server so much and I've met some awesome people on it. If I cant even get something as little as an admin sit for something so trivial, then I am going to question why I should even play on this server. I only have 3 total warns in the 1 or 1 & 1/2 years i have been playing on this server, and I just get hit with a week long ban while the player who was harassing, breaking NLR, and RDMing myself and my friend included does not even get a slap on the wrist. He must be cool w the admin or something. I apologize if I sound upset, but I am and I feel as if i have a justified reason for being so.

Really disappointing man. This is my favorite RP server and to get hit with this shit is disappointing. I was about to send out my second staff app on the 14 day mark and i have been counting down the days. I really do love this server and I understand that there will be random neckbearded assholes that try to entrap me into getting banned, but that is not the issue. The issue is how the situation was handled (or the lack thereof). I have spent a noticeable amount of money (lifetime supporter among other things) and I get the boot without any chance at an explanation. I understand that mrdm and nlr breaking range from a few days to a week or something of the sort, but i guess the guy who was on the game for 7 hours harassing me and breaking the same rules is clear to continue his roleplay experience. good for buddy!

EDIT: I misread the ban. I was banned for LTAP not NITRP. I did not leave, I crashed, but I can see how it looks like i left. I was on the way back to explain myself. I would also request that you all do not even vote until I am allowed to vocally speak on this and explain with either the one who banned me or some other staff member as I really do believe that a "gotchu fam" favor for the other player is not satisfactory for me.

ANOTHER EDIT: I apologize for any aggression that I have displayed in the actual appeal form. I know that there may have been a big misunderstanding. I only got angry because I really do like this server and I love playing on it whenever I’m able. Also, I know I mentioned that I have spent money on this server and while I know that it provides no special treatment by any measure, it shows that I want the server to do well and that I want to be involved with it. I said that I don’t care to be unbanned out of spite and anger and I know I should not have said that. Obviously, I would enjoy an unban, but moreover, I would like a chance to understand the thought processes and reasoning behind my ban. That is all. Sorry for the mass edits and emotional response to the punishment.

I did see the sit was called on you, and that you had disconnected so Legerbs probably thought you intentionally left to avoid punishment.

I did not witness the situation leading to your ban, but based off of what I know about you from us speaking a few times I would not doubt if this was a misunderstanding. You have always been super friendly + I have not had a single issue with you, and you also really seem like you want to join the staff team so I don't see you doing something like this, but as I said I cannot say this for certain as I did not view the logs regarding this or watch the situation unfold.

As you mentioned, it may have been a misunderstanding and I apologize for lashing out. I was just upset during the time of the situation. The only thing I am really upset about is not getting a chance to explain myself and I know that my garbage PC crashing makes it look like i left to avoid punishment (which I would never do). I did kill IHave2Kids every time he shot at my base and broke NLR, but I guess I could have just let it pass and it would have blown over eventually after a while.

Woah woah woah. Not one person PMd me after your ban. I pulled you into a sit along with another player who was Mass RDMing. As soon as I pulled you into a sit you dipped.  You also could've tried reaching out to any staff member including myself in the discord. But from my angle it looks like you left to avoid punishment which automatically defaults to 7 days for mass rdm. 

 

Your attitude in this appeal doesn't make me feel like this is sincere. If you have any proof regarding what happened I'd like to see it. Also don't try to claim bias for me saying "gotchu fam" to a player who called a sit. Most people will thank you if you take their sits and there wasn't anything special surrounding my response to him.

Unfortunately, I do not have any recordings or clips since I didn’t think that the other guy would call any kind of sit since he was so okay with harassing me and breaking multiple rules for close to about an hour and also because my software is spotty on what it wants to record. I figured since he came back to the same spot and kept shooting my base along with the fact that I have seen that Garry’s mod carries logs for almost everything, that what I said would make sense if you heard why I killed him in a sit. It was also weird because my friend was streaming his screen and I swear I watched him spell your in-game name right, but I guess it just got lost in the void or you may not have seen it right away since so many things were happening in chat at one time. Again, I apologize for any aggression or lack of understanding in this post. My issue is not waiting a week to play again, but the fact that I will have a ban on my account right as I was about to reapply for staff on the 6th. I should have taken a better approach to this and I will do that in the future. Also, as for you mentioning that I did not take the time to reach out to a staff on discord, you are completely correct on that. It did not even cross my mind and I probably should have done that. It likely would have solved any issues or misunderstandings present.

Also to add onto this, I know that as a senior mod, you get appeals posts almost every other day with some player just yelling at you on the forums, and I know this may look like something like that, but I just wanted to let you know the only reason I was assertive was because I felt like I was wronged without a chance to explain myself. I did not consider the crash/LTAP misunderstanding. I hope you can understand where I’m coming from and what my thought process was behind this

I will reduce your ban to 3 days including the time served. From now on do not take matters into your own hands and if players are messing with you make a sit.
