You might start to see new icons next to a member's name & on their profile. We've added new badges & achievements which you can earn for completing various tasks and contributing to the forums in a positive way.  New mobile-friendly features have been added as well, such as push notifications & a PWA (progressive web app) for the forums. Details on these & other features below...

 

Ranks & Achievements

Currently ranks are enabled but don't carry much weight. You earn a rank by posting / replying to threads. You can see a member's rank on their profile and postbit (next to their avatar in threads). 

Achievements / Badges are more rare and are awarded by staff, contributing in a positive way, or earned for completing various tasks. You will receive a PM if you're given an badge & the reason why. You can view a member's badges on their profile. 

 

Push Notifications / PWA (progressive web app)

Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) aim to bring the features and functionality of an actual desktop application to a website. I don't think people will use this that often but the functionality is there if you want to use it. Basically, you can launch the forums from your desktop as if it was an standalone application and it's contained inside of a dedicated browser. For you tech-savy folks, you can read more about PWAs here. 

 

 

Push Notifications is what most mobile applications use and allows you to receive notifications to your desktop or phone without you actually being on titsrp.com or having your browser open. To enable Push notifications, click your profile picture at the top, click Account Settings and click Notification Settings. Enable Push Notifications, then configure any notifications you want Pushed.

i will definitely use the notification feature.

i have a suggestion though, but i have no clue if it is do able. on iOS devices, when you're on a webpage in safari theres the share button at the bottom of the page. clicking that and then the option "add to home screen" will add the webpage to your home screen. some websites have it so when you use this feature, its like it is its own app, but it doesnt go through to apple app store. 

could this be possible with the titsrp webpage?

This has been updated to actually support push notifications. It also works on Android and iOS.
