June 8th Changelog

 

  • Fixed some printer errors
  • Fixed some more melee weapon errors
  • Fixed not being able to inventory some weapons
  • Ditched URS and now use a dictionary array for tool spawns
  • Ditched default ULX logging for tools, should provide a massive server performance improvement (Increased server performance by 30% - 50% in my test)
  • A ton more security improvements
  • Experimental inventory db upgrade
  • You no longer spawn with a camera
  • Fixed some kidnapping errors
  • Added some shipments so you can store some new weapons such as the health station and armor station
  • Made joining the admin table impossible again for some uninitialized players

June 11th Changelog

 

For the new Gangs update, I was thinking of the best way to approach the idea. I know for a fact it would have to be through MySQL because I thought it would be cool to expand on the gangs system and give some competition between players. What I mean is that by using this method, the information about gangs can be public on the site. So you would have the Gang Name:   Amount of Members:     Networth:   and it would show the top 50 gangs or something. Along with that, being in a gang will give show your gang tag about your head. A gang name / gang tab can be up to 6 characters long and would look something like this when you look at someone   [MYCLAN] Sugar Tits

 

I never used MySQL before so I didn't really know what in the world I was doing for the past 2 days but today I made some insane progress. I won't give an estimate as to when this will be done but when it will, the playercount will also be bumped up to 80. The remaining blockers for server performance are going to be attempted tomorrow. Most of them have to do with voice chat but if these get solved then we could handle 80 players like it's nothing.

 

Changelog for tomorrow

  • Kidnapping has a force cooldown of 3 minutes
  • You cannot talk while you're dead
  • Disabled FSpectate voice (for now)

This will most likely go in on the next reset.

 

  • Optimized voice chat by 20+%
  • Optimized ULX Gag
  • Removed over 30 hooks that had no other purpose but to be there
  • Fixed some prop logs
  • Trees and rocks should be frozen on spawn, just have to re-perma them
  • Fixed inaccuracy with unboxing

June 16th Changelog

 

  • Fixed it so cuffs don't set themselves to false once you're fined so you don't get arrested
  • Fixed some voice issues and made voice 8% faster to calculate  :pogchamp:
  • Fixed FSpectate voice
  • Fixed SteamID issue with bitminers
  • Added more logging
  • Fixed it so admin claim messages don't pop up twice
  • Fixed it so that users cannot see admin popup boxes again, nailed this one down

Gang Update

 

Welcome to a whole new experience. The gangs update will provide a huge change to gameplay. Get together and side with either the Police or the Raiders. Each have their own perks and their quirks that makes them viable. Grab a group and register a Gang to compete to be the top gang. Each level, the gang owner can unlock a perk. The cop faction has 4 [3 Point Perks] and 3 [1 Point Perks]. The raiders have 3 [3 Point Perks] and 4 [1 Point Perks], the full perk list can be found below.

The two factions are very different. Raiders are a wolf pack while Cops work together. For example, two cop gangs work together to earn XP while raiders fight for themselves. This should provide to be a great experience and I would love to hear your feedback. If you have ideas for more perks, let me know and I can add them in. I have spent a very long time perfecting everything. I cannot guarentee that everything is 100% stable since the testing scope was limited to 2 people but if you find any bugs, let me know and they will be fixed.

 

I would like to thank you guys for sticking with us for this host change. We now have an insane amount of power and I have done more optimization to allow even more people. Remember when I said when this update came out, it would be 75 - 80 slots? Yea...that's not true.

DarkRP runs through MySQL now instead of SQLite

Unboxing has been converted and recoded to use SQL

XP earning is logged for abuse reports / stats

Chat tags stripped, now shows gang tag and color based on Cop / Raider gang

You no longer have to advert heist, a sign outside of PD will tell you when it can and cannot be raided

Upgraded Webhost for unlimited SQL connections

Change rock model because it's too damn big

Some of these perks may not reflect actual game stats, they have changed but I pulled them from my notepad of the old changelog

 

Perks: Raiders

 

5 tiers of perks each:

 

Bank Heister - Decrease the amount of time to raid a bank by 10 - 20 - 30 - 40 - 50 seconds each respectively

Steady Hands -  Decrease the chance of a lockpick breaking by 10% - 20% - 30% - 40% - 50%

Blood of the Lamb - When you spawn, you spawn with 2 - 4 - 6 - 8 - 10 health

Capture Speed - Capturing a gang area is faster by 5 - 10 - 15 - 20 - 25 seconds each

Master Pick - Have a chance to not trigger a door alarm while picking 10% - 15% - 25% - 30% - 35%

Shady Deal - Reduce the amount of bail by 5% - 10% - 15% - 20% - 25%

 

1 Tier each

Gang Sense - Alert Members of your gang when one of them gets arrested

Personal Dealer - A gang NPC will spawn on a Gang Zone when captured to sell you door shields, door alarms, cheaper printer upgrades and more

Weapon Advancement - You can now throw crafted weapons with powerful speeds.

 

Perks: Police

 

5 tiers of perks each: Police

 

Armor Up - Spawn with 10 - 20 - 30 - 40 - 50 armor each spawn respectively

Leg Day -  Increase run speed while CP by 4% - 8% - 12% - 16% - 20%

Blood of the Lamb - When you spawn, you spawn with 2 - 4 - 6 - 8 - 10 health

Capture Speed - Capturing a gang area is faster by 5 - 10 - 15 - 20 - 25 seconds each

Boom - Destroying a raider gang's printer will give you 5 - 10 - 15 - 20 xp each

 

1 Tier Each

Police Come First - As a cop, you get health and armor for free from the Police Panel

Armory - Pressing E on the police bank will give you ammo

Respected Officer - Bypass the vote to become CP

Glorious Leader - Bypass the vote to become Mayor

  • Going to jail / refusing to pay a fine is clamped at a minimum of 2 minutes
  • Polished Gang Zones
  • You cannot capture the PD Zone unless there is 5+ cops on. Cops however can capture it with only 1
  • Added Gang Chat
  • Lawyers can bail people out of jail
  • Moved Gang Zone ontop of the building

Fixing a mass amount of bugs that are seriously annoying

  • Chaned how the Personal NPC perk works for raiders, the gang owner can spawn an NPC for 5 minutes on a 20 minute cooldown
  • Added Elastic Cuff perk for cops
  • Added Straight Shot perk for cops
  • Added Backstabber perk for cops
  • Added Danger Zone perk for cops
  • You can now Hire Guards
  • Moved most data over to a Google Cloud SQL db, it's beautiful
