Ogihara420
Your Steam Name: Ogihara Your ingame name: Im not Corp Your Steam Profile/SteamID:https://steamcommunity.com/id/ogihara420/ Who are you reporting? (NorthBear) (senior mod) Evidence: So i see a base that says public on the outside, and something about micspam. I go inside and notice a fading door and a locked door. i walk in and the first thing he says is "get out this is a public base" lol. I ask the owner if i can be let in the back behind the locked door. He says "have you never been in a real life cinema? theres locked doors" i took that as a no, and i remembered reading in the MOTD " If the place does have closed and locked doors and the owners refuse to let you in that room, the place is considered raidable. I then kill the owner of the base and lockpick the door and proceed with my raid. A bit later i get pulled in a sit with NorthBear and he states i cannot raid a public base, i tell him it had a locked door and even pasted the rule in chat for him. I ended up getting warned for raiding a public base. https://imgur.com/a/RcsOOYa https://imgur.com/a/dEBPZRT https://imgur.com/a/H7ZwL0D
Rubik
If you think someone is abusing a public base and has raidables inside we would be happy to check that for you. You shouldn't assume there are raidables just because the door is locked. Also, I'm not familiar with the rule that says public bases cannot have locked doors, but I will look into that now. You did say you saw a sign that says public base so why would you try to raid it anyways? A public place is a place with open doors such as a restaurant. For your base to be considered a public place, you must place a sign indicating it as a "Public Place." You may not have money-making entities inside/it will be treated as a building sign. If the place does have closed and locked doors and the owners refuse to let you in that room, the place is considered raidable. So, this is straight from the MOTD, it's cut and dry. This warn is invalid and I support it being removed. Since North Bear is a senior mod I will leave it up to him to sort this.
Lunartique
MOTD States "A public place is a place with open doors such as a restaurant. For your base to be considered a public place, you must place a sign indicating it as a "Public Place." You may not have money-making entities inside/it will be treated as a building sign. If the place does have closed and locked doors and the owners refuse to let you in that room, the place is considered raidable." It says that if a public base has locked doors, and the owner refuses to let you through that door, it is considered raidable. I don't see how Im Not Corp did anything wrong in this situation
CoolAIDS
As others have stated unless something else was taking place then the warn should be removed as it follows the MOTD, if this is what happened. I see no proof the base had a lockpickable door, but the Rule was put in place so that players didnt have to call Staff for something petty like this. I would like to see North's side of the story, as well as possible evidence of the fading/locked doors in the base.
