  1. see  I want to come back but my class has been ripped apart and other people own my workshop weapons I used to have.  So now I dont know what to do

     

    You can just get new workshop weapons. You have been gone for around 2 months and people wanted the weapons you owned. Saying "no he will be back someday" is kinda silly. But it's also silly to say "Sorry, you have to deal with it". 

     

    I haven't done custom class changes in over a week because of the update I am working on. Once it's released, all cleaned up and ect I will start doing custom class stuff again. You do deserve a higher priority though so if you want to replace your weapons just PM me.

  2. Finally got started on the CP menu. So far its just a changed color scheme of the F1 menu and it replaces the F4 menu. This took a while to get working since comboboxes store the information you select as a string and when you look for a player...it's not a string. Either way, it's working now and it's properly networked along with a ton of safety check!

  3. For the love of god, if you have a CPU that supports muticore rendering, use this because it's one console command that will INSTANTLY increase your frames. By default GMOD doesn't use mutlicore rendering because it's unstable in it's current form apparently or something. Either way you can enable it. I am not responsible for any crashing you get. I heard it CAN crash your game but it hasn't crashed mine yet.

     

    I was going to force it on everyone but that's mean since I don't know how unstable it is

     

    Type this in console gmod_mcore_test 1

     

    It's disabled on a reboot unless you put it in your autoexe file.

     

    "How do I know if it's working!?"

     

    Well if the FPS boost wasn't apparent enough, you can just do +showbudget in console. If you see a line called "Mat_ThreadedEndframe" then it's enabled. If you can't see because the window is squished, do 

    budget_panel_height 900

     

    In console

    Boosted my FPS in EvoCity from 80 in the main town spawn to 180

  4. heh, my birthday is in 2 weeks (27), so ill take that server massive update as a birthday gift ;)

    Well that's nice then. I cannot stress it enough that this is seriously a 200% different experience from the current TitsRP, it's absolutely insane and I am NOT exaggerating.

  5. You can only grow in certain spots. It promotes player interaction. Also just saying, this map is super small for everything I wanted to do. There is way too much stuff to do as of right now in the server it's kinda berserk to the point where it feels kinda cramped.

     

    But I just finished up syncing networked variables to the database so I am REALLY happy and I can make another system now

    No, I made a post somewhere saying it will be delayed to probably Tuesday (2/16). Reason being is that I truly want to hit everything 100%. I will have the head admins come on the server during the weekend to give me feedback on the current systems.

     

    On top of that, I have two more systems I want to definitely make. I usually make a system a day if I am working really well + a lot of fixes to other systems. I will probably end up making more though since there is another 4 systems in the server I made that I kinda thought 'That would be cool" so I kinda just made them. But of course, it will be released when it's ready. Tuesday is just a placeholder date

  7. I think that the old PD armory should be brought back, the current PD raid thing doesn't even work (when there are 6 cps, it still says minimum of 4 cps). Also, we should add the bank heist back (currently bank robber is useless, and I'm tired of making excuses for it in OOC...) Thanks for reading :)

  8. Just had a lot of ideas today that I think are pretty dire to implement in the current state so maybe Tuesday? That leaves me around 50 - 60 hours to make everything.

     

    This update is honestly bigger than you guys imagine. When this hits, the old Titsrp will be a joke.

    It's a long weekend for me, so hopefully the new stuff is out.

     

     

    I just use CSCheater and place the files into my addons.

     

    With the speed I am going and the time I have this week, I am aiming for a late Friday - early Saturday release as long as everything goes well

  10. See, everyone wants to "help" with development. I mean that's great and all but there would be NOTHING for you to "test" or to do. You would plant a meth seed and be like "It works!" you would harvest it and be like "it works!". You would run around the map be be like "I'm on the map!". There is a lot done that I am not sharing with you guys until the update is actually released but you can't just "help" with development. It will be ready when it's ready

  11. Another suggestion: a police database that can be accessed through a police car or like a computer in PD that gives info on all players with drivers license and gun license as well as if they are wanted.

     

    Something like that is not actually impossible. Since Driver's Licenses and Firearm Licenses are set through the server's database itself, I may be able to do something like that. But that's a bigger project. I may hold off until most other things are done and good to go

  12. Yea, I worked on the F1 menu a little more this morning. I ended up remaking 50% of it in HTML since I learned you can actually render css, javascript and html through derma which got me really excited haha. This is what it currently looks like

  13. After making the harvesting system, I decided to do some more work on a F1 Menu GUI. I'm curious, does this seem helpful? I want to go for a minimal hud look so having an information screen with a press of a button seems helpful to me. I am looking for some kind of design concept since I don't know how I can make this looks visually appealing. As of right now, it looks like this

    Still early but the icons, font, positioning is not final. Also the best thing, it doesn't impact FPS!

  14. I seriously think, if possible, we get a tractor trailer mod and make use of the various loading bays around v33x. It would be interesting to see players attempting to hijack these trucks in an attempt to make more cash.

     

    Also I want an excuse to drive a big ass truck into town and annoy people with the horn.

    Maybe we could get a custom loading screen that showcases different parts of the map. I saw it on a server once and it was cool

    So uh, I have some questions/suggestion about the new map change, so here I am posting a thread about it.

     

     

    If you are any sort of question, feel free to post them, one day or another sugar should reply to them (if he wants)

     

    Alright here I go

     

     

    QUESTIONS

     

    1.When the update should kick in?

    2.Will everything change drastically?

    3.What number of feature do you have/gonna give to the update?

    4.Will you add the fishing addon I read somewhere?(I swear I remember something like that posted on the forums)

    5.Will you change rules accordingly for this map? Like the megabasing rule so people dont glob an entire town (unless they are like 10???)?

    6.Are you gonna change spawn point? and where will it be, will we have spawn protection?

    7.What collection of cars will we have? since the map is HUGE we will need better traveling methods.

    8.How does level works? Do we gain EXP by doing stuff or by playtime? 

    9.From the video, we get access to new stuff by leveling up, like robbing the titsmart. Will we have new command except that to gain from leveling up? If so, what type of stuff do we get?

    10.What would be the LvL limit?

    SUGGESTIONS

     

    1.We need fast traveling NPC'S, for average people buying a car is enough but for some lazy/new people, going from place to place is gonna be hard (Idk if you can, but if you could everyone would appreciate).

    2.Dont sell armor pack, makes gun dealer NOT useful due to him making money out of it. AND makes armor WAY TOO EASY to get.Armor on spawn for everyone (not on spawn,but close to) means: Either you have armor or your dead.

    3.A shit load of new car, and maybe some other stuff like a motorcycle??? (would be cool)

    4.Have low $$$ car,medium $$$ car, and high $$$ car, so people can show off how rich they are.

    5.A SHIT TON OF NPC BECAUSE WE ALL LOVE NPC 

    6.Maybe make some easter egg stuff. Not giving out any sort of hint, but you could hide some cool stuff for us to find out.

     

     

     

     

    That is all Im gonna ask for now.

     

    1) I am a single man working on this. I am doing everything from making GUI's, NPC's, Entities, Optimization, a lot and lot of fixing for everything I am making and also making sure everything is working the way its supposed to. I am not trying to rush this update because this is seriously a turning point in how people perceive the server. I am also at school from 8 AM - 9 PM on Monday's so I can't work on anything then. Then from Tuesday - Thursdays I am usually slowly working on it becuase of other IRL stuff I must do. After that, I have been working on this update from 6 - 8 hours a day so far. I can't give you an accurate time frame since it really depends if I hit more roadblocks. I am going to say 1 - 2 weeks from this post.

     

    2) Yes, like I said, this is seriously a turning point for the server. The way you get jobs, earn money and do everything around the city is going to be relatively more different that how it is now. 

     

    3) I have no clue what you're asking

     

    4) Yes, fishing will be in the server

     

    5) A lot of rules are being rewritten right now. I have a changelog for everything that is being done to the rules so be sure to check there when the update hits.

     

    6) Spawns are set on the map. There is no spawn protection since the map is too big. I don't think anyone is going to just spawn kill you.

     

    7) There will probably be double the amount of cars we have now. I don't want too much since they are huge in file size and I don't want make them look ugly.

     

    8) Levels currently works by doing tasks and activities. Cops earn XP for killing / arresting players. Players gain XP for fishing, harvesting, robbing, ect. Leveling is super barebones in how it works right now so I don't have too much info to give.

     

    9) Leveling to rob the TitsMart guy is just an example. I don't think I want to restrict levels to being able to do tasks like that. I may rely it on RNG. Kinda like Fallout Style. For example if you're level is less than 10, you would have a 20% chance to successfully rob him. If you fail, he calls you on your bluff and you get wanted. If it's higher than 10 then you have a 50% chance, higher than 20, 70% chance and ect.

     

    10) I don't know yet.

     

    Suggestions

    1) Yes, thats planned

    2) Gun Dealers are not selling guns anymore like they used to. They make guns / armor now (which they can sell to players). I can make the market guy dynamically change so don't worry too much.

    3) I don't think there are motorcycles in gmod except for Scars which we don't use
