False ban by majorsteam

Banned For: Banned for breaking NLR, by killing major steam when he was in my base.

Why Should I be Unbanned: Here's the rundown, I saw majorsteam in Owo_mad's base, who i was grouped with, while he was raiding it, i stood outside for 2 seconds to see who it was, he shot me in the face. I came back to watch him from a safe distance, did not interfere at all, he shot me again and claimed I was breaking NLR. He then pulled me for a sit, said nothing to me, typed !dlogs, said nothing and then returned me. Then more than 5 minutes after he had shot me I came back to the base, which he was still trying to raid and killed him. He immediately teleported to a player nearby, and tried to continue raiding the base by grabbing a pickup box, saying nothing to me, i killed him for breaking nlr. He then teleported again to a nearby player and did the exact same thing, i killed him again for breaking nlr. After this he finally brought me into a sit where he yelled at me like a child claiming i broke nlr. I calmly asked him to show me the dlogs showing where i broke NLR or how I interfered with him in any way prior to the five minutes being up. He showed me a log of me killing a different player, that was loitering, that he was not connected to in any way, or grouped with. I continued to ask him to show me how I broke NLR. He said nothing. At that point I was trying to avoid being warned as I had just gotten on for the night, so I messaged Squanch to come assist me in the sit or at least give me some feedback as to what was happening, as I trust him as a moderator. At this point, Squanch asked me what was happening, I tried to respond and I was immediately banned for 2 days. Now at that point i only had 1 warn on my account so I couldn't have been banned for having too many warns. It seems more likely, at least in my eyes, that Majorsteam banned me because he knew he was wrong and did not want to back off.

I also assume I was not banned for contacting another moderator during the sit, as Majorsteam banned me for NLR and RRDM, and "extend to 2 days for bunz" whatever that means.

I would appreciate some feedback, and hopefully some communication with majorsteam as to what I did wrong.

Evidence: sadly i dont use shadowplay, certainly dlogs can be checked or majorsteam can be questioned as to what happened.

Then i pulled you to sitland and pasted the logs and asked you why you did it. All you told me was to show me where you broke nlr. I pasted the logs again. Then you proceeded to tell me that i broke raid time which you thought was 5 minutes. I banned you for RRDM and NLR and i beleive it was well deserved.

Well my guy, if you can read those dlogs which are the ones you showed me earlier. I didn't kill you in any of those logs. Similarly I did not revenge rdm you after you killed me the first time, if you'd like to check dlogs on that go ahead, because you're lying now. Similarly, I don't recall you asking me anything in game. You teleported back after i killed you to a dinosaur who lived there, not me, and picked up the boxes and tried to walk out front. I'd appreciate if you'd not blatantly lie to me in an official report in addition to what you did in game.

Then *5 Minutes Later you came back again and killed me. You had no rp reason to kill me. You were not in a party with them and you were not CP. So in the end you Broke NLR and Revenge RDMed and FailRPed (Countered a raid with no RP reason)

I appreciate that you couldn't give me a reasonable response in game the first time you pulled me for a sit or even give me a warn, and instead continued to raid and teleport back and when i asked for an explanation you instabanned me. How about next time you try actually communicating with people, as is presumably an admin's job. I understand that I fucked up now but this could have easily been dealt with in game, and in my opinion did not warrant a ban, especially due to the extreme lack of communication you gave me, and when I attempted to reach out to another moderator for some sort of feedback you saw and banned me.

 

I'm not sure what the rest of this administrative team thinks of this, but I don't think this is at all how a moderator should be acting in game, even as a trial mod. If you refuse to communicate that a player is causing a problem the first time you pull them for a sit, how could they possibly understand that the next time you pull them for a sit is for the same reason and ask questions as to what they did wrong, you respond with nothing and ban them.

I was communicating. I pulled you to a sit and explained the situation. I even pasted the logs of you breaking rules multilpe times. Revenge RDM is a minimum of 24hr ban. Once again i believe this ban time is well deserved.

Again you communicated nothing except saying i broke nlr the 2nd time, when you were already planning on banning me irrelevant of my response, and showed me a dlog of you killing me, which i already knew had happened.

So you died, went back, died again, came back and revenge rdm'd him in the raid, although you now dispute your own words saying that you killed him, then you claim he abused teleport twice and that you revenge RDM'd him twice more. Bunziix does not necessarily agree with this version of events and the story is flawed beyond belief, but let's roll with it for funsies.

 

• You cannot defend a base you have no affiliation with.
  
• You cannot interfere in a raid you have no affiliation with.
  
• You cannot kill someone because you believe they are breaking rules.
  
• You cannot return to a raid 5 minutes later and kill your killer. Raid timer is 10 minutes, and your recourse if they won't leave is to call for staff to make them leave.
  

These are all in the MOTD you did not read.

 

Accusing someone of teleport abuse is very serious business and I would ask you next time to upload any form of proof besides just expecting us to drop everything and demote someone based off of what some dude on the forums says. If you have evidence of that, I would love to see it and I would be willing to demote him on the spot.
