Uncle Rakistâ�¢ Posted August 23, 2018 Share Posted August 23, 2018 Your Steam Name: Uncle Rakist™ Your ingame name: Serial Rakist™ Your Steam Profile/SteamID: STEAM_1:0:19575108 Why were you banned?: I wasn't sure at the time, but the ban reason was for "Mass NLR | Extended for Gforce" Why should you be unbanned?: Well, I've only been on the server for less than 2 hours over 4 seperate connections, so I don't have a proper understanding of how RP servers work. I joined yesterday evening, became a SWAT officer, and was walking around town, looking for the city hall. I was approached by another officer. i was instructed to "follow him," which i did, mainly due to the fact that I have NO IDEA what to do as an officer.(the last 3 times, i took the Snoop Dogg job, the guard, and a thief.) He led me to the city hall, opened up two doors leading upstairs, where a pickle was sitting at the mayors desk. I was promptly gunned down by someone with a DVA skin. ( I was unable to get the players name, i apologize) I was assuming that they were just shooting people for the heck of it, so i came back to see what the deal was. Mind you, I had absolutely no idea what a "NLR rule" was, seeing as the MOTD seems to be broken 3 of the 4 times i joined. I came back, and got shot at again, so i shot back, and killed them. there was another person with an anime skin in a back room doing the same thing, so i got killed again. I ran around town, looking to get back to the building where I was shot. By the time i got back, there were several officers in the building where i had died. when the officers re-secured the area, i was pulled aside into a large open field, where the two people who were killing people inside the building were accusing me of "NLR." I have no idea what that meant at the time, so I explained to both players, as well as the admin that I have never played on an RP server before, and was unsure what that meant. I was in that grassy area for about 5-10 minutes, in which i explained that i wasn't sure what was happening. To put it simply, one of the other players explained that I cannot come back to the area I was killed at, and was promptly banned for 7 days. Now, i dont quite understand how RP servers work, but I think a 7 day ban for an infraction on a someone is a bit much, seeing as i haven't clocked more than 5 hours on the server. Any help on this issue would be appreciated. Who banned you? Gforce on Bluray Evidence: Unfortunately, i do not. 1-800-Suicide Posted August 23, 2018 Share Posted August 23, 2018 Mass offenses do default to 7 days usually but I think since you are sorry for what you did maybe it can be reduced, you seem to have read up on the motd and imo show an effort to want to play the server again. I apologize for the unfair ban that you received I must've been so focused on the logs and other players that I missed the part where you were talking about being new and not knowing what was going on. I never knew you were new until your friend ricedude talked to me later and told me that you were new and didn't know what was going on. samma Posted August 23, 2018 Share Posted August 23, 2018 The banning staff has accepted your appeal and decided that you should be unbanned. The MOTD was down for the past few days and you have less than 4 hours so there is no way you would've known. This, in the future, will most likely be only a shortening rather than a full unban, but given the circumstances, an unban is more appropriate for this case. Mass NLR will get you banned, and now you know.
