banned for crashing before sit(also innocent)

Why were you banned?: Supposedly RDMing someone and allegedly avoiding the sit

Why should you be unbanned?: The person I rdmed was a cop who killed my friend whom i was in a party with and the cop proceeded to call a sit ignorant to this. Before i was teleported to the sit my client crashed and when i reopened garry's mod i was banned.

Evidence: Eyewitness/friends i was in party with through discord saw this happen but unfortunately no images/videos. (my client had slowed down and crashed almost immediately after the cop said he would call an admin/after I killed him had this not happened i would have taken a screenshot to prove I was in a party)

This happened around 3:00 AM EST yesterday I didn't make an appeal sooner cause I went to sleep after seeing i was banned

Uh, just want to make this clear, admins have said this already and is that, if your friend is already dead, don't kill the person who killed him, if you start shooting when your friend is already dead, it's revenge and considered RDM.

I am the one who banned you. Yeah, the cop called a sit because he said he got RDM'd by you so I brought him. After I checked logs to see who killed him, I saw it was you.

I tried bringing you twice and I looked to see if you changed your name. I then went to connection logs and saw that you disconnected so I returned him and I banned you for two days for RDM l LTAP. Usually when I see a person leaves before I bring them to a sit because they RDM'd, I ban them for two days because they don't want to get in trouble. Do I know that you were in a party? No. He said he got RDM'd so I brought him to a sit, and saw that you left after you killed him. Seems a little fishy to me, so that's why I banned you.

That's perfectly understandable why you would suspect me, but being a longterm player I know of LTAP and the consequences as opposed to simply taking a warn from RDM and being how often i usually play/the sits I've been involved in/how much I've donated It seems a bit strange that I would purposely avoid this sit rather than taking the warn for the rdm

Yes, I usually warn for RDM. But I can't warn a player if the player left before they get the warn..Now, I did not ban you right away. I would never do that, haha. I double checked to make sure you actually left. When I found your STEAMID I banned you for two days. Some mods ban longer than that, but it really depends. I usually ban for two days if it was one report on RDM/RDA/ETC. I did not get the entire story since he wanted to explain when you got there. Once I checked connection logs, I saw that you left so I banned you for two days for: RDM l LTAP.

I appreciate ya for taking these precautions you are a good staff member. Had I logged in again last night before you banned me i definitely could have clarified what happened  and defended myself but i figured it would be a lost cause being as it already had looked like LTAP and decided to simply go to sleep and saw the ban this morning/afternoon. I am at fault for this but i think despite this me crashing was out of my control and i shouldn't be banned for this.

When it says player has not been found, I then check to see if you changed your name. After I have checked those, I then resort to connection logs. That's when you know if they are going to get a ban or not. The logs can be glitchy at times, yes, but it said that you disconnected, so I got your steamID and banned you. If you can prove to me that you truly crashed, I will see if I can forward this to a higher up to get you unbanned. I am not saying you are lying, but I do need VALID proof. This ban appeal will just keep going back and forth if you don't have proof..
