I aint slandering you. I Don't have any relation to you. All I did was ban you because you were being rude. and Toxic, that's all, you can't lie and say you weren't being toxic. You were also harassing the guy like spamming him in PM. I decreased the ban to 3 Hours. Up to other staff to unban you fully or maybe punish me rather.. Heck I don't know. For the sake of this post we'll assume it's false and not include it. Punishment guidelines says: Personal attacks on other players should result in a 3-day ban - 1-week ban - 2-week ban depending on continued offenses "Shoot yourself in the head, go die," I would consider a personal attack. "You're a faggot," I would consider a personal attack. If it happened long enough to warrant staff intervention, he's probably a minge. You really, really, really should have given him a warning first but technically it'd be okay. That guideline should probably be edited. My only question is did he get a sit? And Walter, I seen everything in the logs from the chat from both sides, and to be fair, i didn't bring the other guy, It was a mistake on my side, I'll take whatever punishment or whatever thing you'll give me, but I was just dissapointed that players can talk that way and it's just a really immature attitude, so I went ahead and banned him, I checked the logs, didn't see Ajax starting any drama. Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong here. Either way I feel the ban was still deserved. I don't know, maybe i'm too stubborn or something. He was just excessively rude. Walter the Assaulter Posted July 11, 2017 Share Posted July 11, 2017 I'll explain a few things to you. As mentioned earlier in this thread, you can "override" bans if you make a mistake. If you ban for the wrong reason, you can reban them. If you ban the wrong person, ban them for a minute. Never do this to people other staff ban without that staff's permission or administrator+ permission, but in this case since it was a mistake in time and description on your part it would definitely be okay. If a player is online, ALWAYS bring them to a sit ALWAYS* so they have a chance to defend themselves. This is why we only ban disconnected players if they look guilty in the logs and give them a chance to appeal on the forums. *99% of the time. There are some instances of attempted server crashing where a sit may not be possible. I don't disagree with the choice to ban him. I disagree with the choice to ban him without warning him to stop and giving him a sit. I think the guidelines protect you with the first one but he should've gotten a sit. Edit: Just to be clear, if he was online and banned without a sit the ban is illegitimate. There's always the possibility something was missed, maybe the logs messed up or you didn't see something. If a player is able to, they should be given the chance to defend themselves. I understand getting upset and angry, I would feel the same way, but we have this process for a reason. I'll keep that in mind in scenarios like this, cause I haven't experienced something like this before, atleast this excessive. But.. I Apologize for not giving you a chance @Big boy, but .. Big Boy, if you believe you have any unresolved thoughts/issues with your ban, you're welcome to file a staff report. However, from what I can tell it doesn't seem worth it to press this issue any further.
