Report on Zesh

now ive known zesh for awhile he might do some questionable stuff but he means to do good and ever since i came back everytime i made a sit i literally see him taking the sits and doing everything he can to help.

The fact that these type of reports on zesh has happened many times makes complete sense to me

Let me go over a couple of things before I start the review of the report.

 

The moderator guidelines states:

DO NOT teleport or bring other staff without messaging them first. This goes along with respecting their privacy. Message them in admin chat or steam first

Another moderator guideline states:

DO NOT ban or kick other staff unless they go rogue for whatever reason. Message a head admin or higher immediately if this happens

This doesn't say you DO NOT warn a staff member.  If staff member warns another staff member for breaking x rules that is completely fine.[/align]

 

Now let me get into the report.

 

Overall, this report has a lot of things to go over. 

I will try to go over all the main pointers

 

Yes, as you see I did tell him oh do not tell me how to do my job, your not better than me your the same as me. I feel I have more experience than you so I don't want to listen to all this crap about oh don't ban the people I'm banning. 

 

This statement really pisses me off because no one here is perfect including myself.  Zesh, you took a long break and came back.  Then you are still expecting that you are still a 10/10 staff member.  The server is always changing with the rules and how the server works.  TBH, the new staff would probably have way more experience because they are up to date with the rules and know how the server works.  So, you should always listen to other staff members about what to do and how you should act as a staff member.

 

 

I also claimed a sit for the 7d ban you took by strive, and strive can confirm this. I also was rdmed by the player that pippy took the sit for, and i noticed other reports pop up about his rdm before cases were of this player, therefore knowing its mass rdm bye bye. anyways everyone has their own way of doing things and you really seem to concern yourself in business other than your own. 

Just because a bunch of other players are claiming that a certain player is mass rdming doesn't automatically mean that he is mass rdming.  Overall, you should still talk with the person before taking such actions because it might be false or it might be true.  How would you know unless you were one of the people rdmed.  Even being one of the people RDM, you still need to conduct a sit.

 

Now the ban reason and your reasoning for the ban reason is really stupid.  Ban reasons are there for a reason, like most of the staff members said.  Now, a player doesn't have to instantly make a ban appeal now or in 2 days, but what would happen if a player made a ban appeal in a couple of days and all you had was "Bye Bye" to go by?  You NEED to put the actual reason.  If you did something like, "MASS RDM | Bye bye" That is completely fine...  This part is really minor, but something everyone should be aware of.

 But I feel a mod shouldn't warn another mod.

This goes back to what I said above...  Overall, mods CAN warn other moderators.

 

 

Now where are we going to go from here?

 

Now other people are saying that you rarely take sits, but Zesh is stating he takes sits all night.  Sugar, can probably state the number of sits that you have claim, but I don't think it is going to be a high number.

 

In conclusion, this report has enough for a demotion.  I will wait for a higher up to give the final decision, but I feel that everything has been said.

 

For now, the thread will be closed until a higher up will decide the faith.

Zesh, you seem to be pretty egotistical with this whole situation. You can't take criticism and you can't evaluate a statement. When ever someone is criticized their first instinct is to fire back because they don't want to be wrong. It's a natural human reaction. You need to step outside the box and think "Why would they say that". If a staff member is giving you advice or providing some help, it doesn't mean they think they are better than you, it just means that they think you're doing something wrong.

 

Now depending on the situation it's 100% possible that the guy straight up RDMed him and many others and the ban was 100% justified. That's fine. Banning him for "Bye Bye" isn't really okay because you're basically showing all the other players and staff members that reasons don't matter. Sure you can be creative with your reasoning as long as you put the reason reason somewhere. "Bye bye - Mass RDM" would of been 100% acceptable.

 

Your reason for not putting that seems really...strange? You want to keep things fresh so you put a reason that entertains you so you don't get bored doing the same thing over and over again. I don't think that is the best course of action but like I said, having a custom ban message is 100% fine as long as you include the ban message somewhere.

the older players prefer the old staff because they know them better and have preferences. thats why some people put zesh in the sits

 

No one still plays or a very small amount of players still play, when you played. That was over a year ago. As Steve Harvey said, people just cycle out. It's been happening for almost 4 years.

That is just blatantly wrong. Some staff members are subjectively better than other staff members. Those staff members either have more respect and consideration into a higher ranking and or a higher ranking in general. I have nothing against staff members who come on once in a while and play the game and do some sits here and there but there are definitely staff better than other staff. 

 

Staff are supposed to work as a team. If someone tells you you're doing something wrong or something can be worked on then don't just disregard it and get angry, think about it for a bit before you respond. I don't think any staff member will attempt to harm your reputation on purpose. If you can't take criticism and you are legit killing yourself over 3 other jobs while trying to staff on a DarkRP server, I think you need to just chill out and focus on IRL and play the game casually.

 

You made a thread asking people if you should resign. My answer is yes for the reason above. I will force resign you. Once you're free and your life is less hectic then feel free to re-apply.
