With a ban appeal like this, I'd say shorten the ban timer because you still did killed 3 people without adverting pd heist.

So you failed to mention that prior to being banned you were warned for doing the same thing, and rather then listening to the mod you asked random users who probably didn't read the motd either.

 

You were told to advert when raiding/heisting the PD and you did not listen to the moderator.

This is not a situation were not adverting PD raid/hesit would get you banned.

 

I am changing my vote because of this new information.

Moderators enforce the !motd. If the !motd isn't clear on subject matter the situation that arises should be dealt with accordingly. By punishing someone for being confused on the rules with a ban no matter the time you are indirectly saying that someone who commits RDM for fun verses a man who does it unintentionally deserve the same punishment. Surely this isn't how you all feel.

Being a smartass and trying to get around what a staff member already told you due to some less-than-choice wording in the MOTD isn't a good reason to be unbanned. You were told not to take from the cookie jar, then turned around and took more cookies simply because you're calling it a "cookie pot", and were told to not take from the "cookie jar". Being cute and playing at semantics like that simply because you want to be smart and disregard what a staff member told you ain't gonna fly with me.

One, I was not a bank heister when I was banned that's a complete and utter lie I was a thief. Two, I was throwing c4 into the pd to break the props the mayor had because I was raiding. Three, the !motd does not define what a heist is and that issue should be adressed. Four, if a staff member tells me something it doesn't become a law. Respectfully, there have been plenty of moderators and staff alike who didn't have the best interest of the server in mind. If a staff member tells me that holding a prop gun out is against the rules but isn't stated anywhere in the !motd I will not just never take my prop gun out because he said so. This is why the !motd is even a thing. To clarify rules, not to be interpreted differently by anyone who can formulate an opinion.

I did unban you at first but I re-banned you with a shortened timer.

 

If a mod does tell you that what you're doing is not right, you really should listen to them. If you have an issue that needs to be debated then definitely ask another moderator or PM me or someone else higher up that can provide clarification. Not doing so gets you in trouble and usually banned (like this appeal). It's better to talk it out before trying to take action against it.

 

The rule is now more specific + the PD screen will say "Heist" instead of "Raid"
