Because it is so miniscule and the guy who reported me took time out of his gameplay just to get me banned when he could be playing, its not even ARDM because i left him alone after punching him, clearly not trying to RDM him. Especially someone with not THAT many RDM or even any ARDM priors. I think this was massively over-punished for imo. Civillian Posted August 2 Share Posted August 2 Hey Jabaited, I understand the frustration with this ban but lemme run through why this seemed reasonable. As you said, the reporting player reported you for ARDM because you had been punching them. ARDM in itsself is a very miniscule rule to break however the main reasoning behind me choosing a 1d ban over other punishments is due to you having multiple priors within the past month for things along the same lines. You had just gotten off an MRDM ban on July 6th, and you had also just concluded another MRDM ban that concluded on July 27th. In between those you also received a warn for RDM and a verbal for the same thing. The main aspect that made me lean towards a ban rather than another punishment was that only 10 minutes before you had received another warn for IRDM. Having 2 7d bans and 2 warns and a verbal within the past month for the same issue made a 1d ban seem to be a reasonable punishment. Even after all of that I was still considering a verbal/warn due to it being ARDM so I listed off your priors to another staff member and they agreed a 1d seemed justified. Either way, I would have no qualms with reducing this to a warn or verbal if other staff members feel this was too harsh. Vex Posted August 2 Share Posted August 2 I am confused to the severity of this, that being said this sit wasn't serious and punching someone twice doesn't warrant anything more than a verbal. There's a limit to what sits should be taken, a sit for being punched twice doesn't constitute ARDM it is just being a minge, your track record isn't flash but nothing major either. Should you have done it?
