If you cant handle someone having a convo in OOC during your sit, you might want to rethink being staff on titsrp  Just a headsup

this is from your staff guidelines: Racism / Vulgar language in OOC should result in a Gigamute for 30 minutes (Along with adding a note on their profile) first then a 1 - 3-day ban depending on continued offenses/previous history

 

Which one did i commit here to warrant 30 min gigamute? Was it racism or the vulgar language in ooc? Or can we punish players for being annoying to staff

I don't agree with this. If you want to mass rdm you have so many options - go king and hold a purge in your kingdom, go to the RDM Zone, open a fight club, etc. Encouraging players to come to you (for free feet pics) just to mass rdm them is wrong. It shows other members of the community that RDM is allowed and even encouraged. Hard -1 from me given that you know the rules as an ex-admin.

Not to point out technicalities, but the only person who is complaining about this is jgpapi with supposedly two deaths (which he switched stories about). Last i checked mass would be three.

 

that being said, as this ex-admin, my view is that at the end of the day, when you consider the impact of the action, players willingly came out to fool around, no one had any issue with it (besides from jgpapi) and everyone had fun. 
 

if we were to push the issue, the cops who engaged in a deathmatch with me would also be participating in rdm.

 

it really boils down to how serious you want to take gmod and thats up to you - the staff team

 

interestingly, all comments so far have also lacked the backing of evidence besides from my screenshot.

And Rubik, how can you comment without addressing the other aspects of the conversation? Imagine if this sit was handled with a newer member of the community or with a regular player. For me, its clearly whatever since I am not active anymore but think about how a player would feel. 
 

Regardless of the situation, even if staff was directly involved, players are owed a sit, punishment per guidelines and standard punishment across the board. if that ideal has changed, then that is just too bad and we dont need to talk about this.

 

this started off as a not so serious thing but man these responses should be semi eye opening for those who are running this server.

Unless you have evidence that you didn't RDM, this ban is valid. That being said, if there was no sit called then that's a different story, however in this case it seems you killed a moderator who was not involved in the situation and was not okay with being RDMed, hence why you were banned. It has nothing to do with "those who are running this server" because the rules against RDM haven't changed since day one. If you want to do what you're describing I would say go into kingdom or have some sort of RDM zone setup in your base.

 

For the mishandling of the sit or lack of one, that is definitely something I encourage you to make a report about. Any sort of staff abuse sucks and it's unfair. This appeal is about your ban only. 

 

My main issue with this situation is that if we allow it to happen outside of the RDM zone, especially from a veteran user like yourself, newer players might see that and think it's okay to mass rdm. This happens a lot due to the bloods vs crips thing and it's been a real pita for staff to handle. Again, if you want to mass rdm do so in the rdm zone, kingdom (when permitted), or your own base please.

For sure, i def agree. If you/staff decide that staff abuse/mishandling (i wouldnt call it abuse) needs to be on a report, I would gladly move it over bc at this point its kind of disappointing ‍

Hi there staff team, i would like to request confirmation from jgpapi’s logs that i actually killed him twice. From memory i dont remember killing him more than once, plus it differs from what was said in the sit. If the logs show i killed him twice and kert once, and they both have an issue with it, we can consider this appeal to be closed. Ty
