While I understand the confusion, this doesn't change the fact that he was breaking the rules by spam respasting the dupe(he has many many failrp warns including one from you for him dropping dupe during a raid, he also definitely gained an serious advantage with the multiple repastes). Even if you did need to advert PD raid to destroy props (which I know now that you don't) that still doesn't excuse the blatant rule break in my eyes. Darken has played long enough and consistently enough that he knows to not break the rules even if someone else is breaking rules on you (in memory i've had at least 1 sit where he has used the argument that he had only broken a rule against a player because the player broke a rule against him, and specifically telling him that that's not allowed)

Also mildly off topic but the whole "well it was decided in smod chat over 3 years ago and then never told to anyone that wasnt smod besides the people directly involved in the situation" is meaningless to me. I was playing regularly at the time that decision was made, and up until now had 0 clue that decision had ever been made (seemingly piklas as well), and was still under the impression that you had to advert to destroy any props during kingdom/pd raid. If a decision is made on something where theres clearly community confusion then let it be known and dont obfuscate it.

My issue with what your saying Tene is that the rules were just different at the time. It was on the staff at the time to propagate the rules out of SMOD chat so they can be enforced. I will assume for right now until a physical rule change or a staff announcement is made that you can break props as those jobs without adverting (I believe this needs to be changed). If we make a new decision on this I suggest we actually update the rules to clarify this situation for the future. This is why I don't believe TacoCat should receive any punishment.

 

Also in what world would you spam repaste a dupe in a raid over 3+ times while being raided and think that this is not in the wrong. This is especially the issue when the player in question has multiple FailRP warns for the same thing. Taking the rules into your own hands will get you punished. Darken should know that this isn't allowed is what im trying to get at.

but pasting a dup over and over again is not against the rules but doing DURING a raid is and to my knowledge he didn't advert so it wasnt a raid just a dude minging my base so i repasted it to protect myself

then pm him asking why or make a sit or do literally anything other than failrp

i did pm and told him voice chat and he still keeped doing it and when i made a sit the only mod on was door salesmen and he wasnt taking sits so there was nothing i could do

After you pm'ed me the rule about it, I pm'ed Door Salesman, who was active at the time, and asked if I had to avert PD raid if I was going to destroy props and he said that I did not have to. I then pm'ed you that I was done talking about it and to ask Door Salesman about it.

well then Door doesnt know the rule and you didnt check the rules when i told you where to look. Yes door said no but you didnt even look for yourself and like I said all you have to do is got to Miscellaneous Rules and go to rule 12 which says

 

"The following 2 actions are allowed without adverting PD raid: Jail-breaking and Hackers hacking any of the PD panels, including the one in the Mayor's office. Anything involving breaking through a prop or a fading door is not allowed under this rule and will be considering PD raiding without an advert. If you wish to PD raid, you will still be required to call PD raid after exiting the PD entirely. You may not fight CP in self defense/party assists inside of PD unless you are raiding.
Ex: Hobo is allowed to sneak into jailbreak his friend. Once he's spotted, he can run but not attack the officer, even if attacked."

 

That means you have to advert PD Raid if you are going to picklock/break down a door or destroy any props

Also door wasnt taking there job seriously at that time and soon after you quite the staff team

Maybe that's something we need to add into the rules then if it's one of those unwritten rules that assassin doesn't have to advert to raid, but that will be its own discussion. 

As for Darken, even if you knew it was a false raid, repasting your dupes 3+ times after Taco used a c4 is very much so against the rules and you know it. As stated above you shouldn't take rules into your own hands, either call staff or make a vote. 

As for Taco, I don't think anything should come from a misunderstanding of rules.

i did call a staff member but i was door who wasnt taking sits and the only mod and when ever i make a vote it always gets denied and i get vote banned and yeah i pasted the dup but the rule you are trying to ban me for is repasting the dup DURING a raid which i wasnt a raid at all

and no punishment for tacocat cuz he misunderstood the rule WHICH i told him multiple time about and tolded him where to look in the rules for but still didnt look for himself and took the word of a staff member that wasnt doing his job at all and soon after quite the staff team
