False Demote x2 LTAP FTC Why should you be unwarned/unbanned? I was only on the server for around 20 minutes. I joined and chose a job and was instantly fined and then arrested as soon as I left spawn. Looking at the chat I could see at least six other players also getting fined and arrested by the same player. After not knowing the reason, and seeing the OOC chat explode with people complaining about abuse I started a demotion for the player. They were demoted and I was let go from the jail. After the player was demoted he was complaining in OOC and not too long after was the Police Officer job and again doing the same thing. I again made a demotion vote and the rest of the server agreed to demote the player as he was camping the spawn and waiting for players to leave. I was brought to an admin sit where I was promptly gagged and forced to type. They told me there was a law that allowed Police Officers to fine players with SWEPs out. Granted, I never saw this law and never saw a law board so I was unaware of this and only went off the complaining in the OOC chat along with the constant barrage of messages indicating this player fined and arrested another player. The admin and this player appeared to be friends as they refused to let me speak and it was clear from the beginning the admin was siding with the complaining player. They promptly banned me as I admitted I didn't see the law and asked to teleport me back as I now have spent a quarter of my time playing on the server in an unnecessary admin sit. I knew that Garry's Mod DarkRP servers were filled will some power-abusing people, but this was a crazy experience for me. I was on the server for around 20 minutes and was already banned for something that seemed so small. I expected that staff moderating such a large DarkRP server would be a bit more professional. I admitted I didn't see the law asked to leave, we were in the sit with both of you just repeating yourselves for over 5 minutes. Looking at how much both of you use this forum and know each other it makes a lot of sense the outcome that came. Sticks and I were brought into a sit early after the first demote, that sit was cut short as he proceeded to shoot and kill Wanted with a shotgun and I was returned. I was just trying to say don't demote cops for fining you for valid reasons and you just kept putting in chat to return you. I had to freeze you in place so you stopped walking away, and I was legit in the middle of putting a note and about to return you then you just left. The sit was less than 3 minutes lol.
